Osmalarity and Thyroid Ultrasound
This is the reports I got back.
Urine Osm. 287 range (200-1192)
Serum Osm. 298 (282-303)
Funny how last time in 2004 they couldn't even get a reading on this, now
that I am worse with it, they can get a reading. Oh well.
This is what the ultrasound of thyroid says.
Finding:
On the current examination the right lobe of the thyroid measures sagittally
6.5 cm with a transverse dimension of 3.7 cm and an anterior posterior
dimension of approximately 2.6 cm. The left lobe measures sagittally 6.4 cm
with a transverse dimension of 2.4cm and an anterior posterior diameter of
2.3 cm. There are multiple hypoechoic nodules in both thyroid lobes and in
the thyroid isthmus. The maximal diameter of the thyroid isthmus nodule 1.4
cm. The largest nodule in the right thyroid lobe is inferior measuring
approximately 1.5 cm in maximal dimension. The largest nodule in the left
thyroid lobe lies inferiorly also measuring approximately 1.5 cm in maximal
dimension.
Impression:
Multinodular goiter involving both thyroid lobes and the thyroid isthmus
with the largest nodule in both lobes of the thyroid measuring approximately
1.5 cm. in diameter.
Endo is recommending having another ultrasound in 6 months to a year.
Which is funny since I have no money, no insurance and Jim has no job. Yeah
right this will happen.

Jo, that is a sad state of affairs. Am so sorry that Jim hasn't found a job
and your insurance is gone. You're still in my prayers.

I sure hope Jim finds a job soon has he had any nibbles? I wonder if
he could train for something else? Think positive he will have a job
by then. -- MZ

No nibbles yet, but he is still looking. We just send out I think 4-5
resumes yesterday by fax and two email resumes. He went to a unemployment
class this afternoon. He has been going to apply for jobs and going to job
fairs, etc.
He is I think going to be going to some training thru unemployment, I will
have to ask him about that again.
