Well Caroline and I had talked about developing a crazy story about
our river trip, unfortunately my partner in crime has not checked in
and I didn't want anyone to worry.  So here is the real deal.... the
river trip went errr..... swimmingly..... no I mean extremely well.
No accident, in fact a  perfect run at Blossom,  and except for
sasquatch  and the giant sea monster it was great, but I will hold
that story for another time.   Caroline and John made it to SF I know
because John posted the photos of the river trip.   John swam a couple
times but over all he did very well.  Jeff became the master
inflatable kayaker and Caroline and Jen enjoyed the raft.  Jen did
some inflatable kayaking as well. The lodges did a great job stuffing
us.  Yikes that was a lot of excellent food.  I think everyone except
sasquatch had a good time.

Well, I am very glad you decided to fess up cuz I was getting ready to call
you and find out what happened. You worried me very much and I don't like
that!:o(

You have now been officially scolded and you should know that Brett was
concerned about traveling the river with you when I told him about your post
and he saw how upset I was.lol

Well I had a silly story all cooked up and I wanted to start with a
cliff hanger, but I decided it wouldn't work well without Caroline's
help so rather than leave you with the cliff I decided to fess up.
BTW if you want to see what a real miss at Blossom bar looks like
check this link out: scroll past the Middle fork of the American and
you will see a royal mess at Blossom.  I have been through there and
seen 2 rafts sandwiched on the picket fence (name of the rocks the
raft is on) it ain't pretty and it is a final wrap.
http://creekin.net/carnage2.htm

click on the photos for a larger view.

If you scroll down you will see the rainie falls the  class V on the
Rogue, rest assured we do not do the falls.  I did get stuck at the
top of the fish ladder which bypasses rainie, but that is not unusual
it is always a bump and grind through that chute. I bruised Jens foot
in the process.

Blossom has  a relatively  easy move (about 2 good pulls on the oars)
but you have to do it!  Consequences are bad if you don't.  I saw an
outfitter stuck on a frame that was left from another raft's accident.

Either the server is down or they took the site down.  here is the
same sequence of photos on another site.  The write-up is pretty
funny.  I saw a "bubba" once on the Rogue he was totally drunk, he
drowned late that afternoon at Mule Creek Canyon. We came through the
next morning and they told us to look for the body.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......................

well, luckily for both of us, I wasn't at home to sweat out waiting to hear
the details.  But I was telling Mike the "story" when we were out in a canoe
on Lake Esau Tuesday morn.  and it was all a scam............ sniff.  ;)

My intent was to start serious then slowly weave an unbelievable
story.  I had a friend who dupped us into believing he went up part of
the way up everest.  He was a master with photoshop and doctored up
the photos, very convincing but then the story became unbelievable.
He wound up in a ticker tape parade in DC after he received an award
from the President! In the photos he received a baseball type trophy
from the president and  in another photo was in the car for the ticker
tape parade!  He really sucked us in for a while. I thought it was a
great hoax some folks were mad, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. -- MZ

Oh, no!!!   I peaked in here at the group late last week and saw your
post Mary about the accident.   Your post sounded like you were so shook
up and left all the details hanging such, that I was soooooo worried
about everyone.   I called Kate and told her about it.   She was very
worried too.   Then over the weekend I called Duckie's house to see if
she and John were back yet and if they were ok.  Wait until they get
home and get THAT message!!!   LOLOLOL..........had to email Kate your
confession and apologize to her for shaking her up.   she got quite the
chuckle out of it all.

I am just hugely relieved that all of you really are ok and am now
laughing to, when I think of the worried message I left for John and
Caroline to come home to!

Phew, Mary, you got me good.   I sure fell for the original story hook,
line, and sinker!!!

Caroline and I talked about concocting a story but I thought she would
check in earlier.   I wanted  the flip then say we lost Jennifer for
several hours, really play it up and then blame the flip on the Noni
juice I had just before I ran Blossom.  You know say it gave me
hallucinations of Sasquatch so I was distracted.  I wanted to play it
off Caroline.  I wish she had checked in so I could have played out
the story, at least you would have had a few giggles instead of just
worry.  Well they should get a good giggle out of your call.  -- MZ

A fool and their money soon part.
Duckie - 04 Jul 2005 04:20 GMT
Go to the stuff I posted under the thread Larry's stuff
-- This group doesn't let spammers sell to folk's on
this group without making the newbies know how *useful*
this junk actually is. Go to Google Groups and run a
search in alt.support.arthritis and just read how this
group feels about this stuff, emu oil and other items
which separate you from your money. BTW, newbies, the
noni crowd usually gets vulgar, angry and VERY hostile
when you tell them to take their stuff and move along.
Get ready for them to call us names.
Why they think a person would actually buy from them
after they call you dirty names is beyond me but it is
all there in print on Google.
With luck this guy will just tuck his tail and go away
but more than likely, he will morph to a different name
and say "ME  TOO". We will just wait and see.
As Doc Dr [of http://www.arthritis.co.za/] is want to
say, "Folk's watch your wallet."
