Does anyone suffer from really bad leg muscle aches, I have never had them
and my hips seem to be flaring, also knew for me, but the muscles of my
upper thighs and right above my knees just ache and ache, I have never had
anything like this, is this RA also? I seem to have no energy either, that
has always been to some degree but never like it is no!!
SO frustrating, always something new each week.
I see my RA doc on Monday to discuss the MTX, I am up to 17.5 now, it has
helped my wrists some, the anti inflam, seem to do more with the pain, but
it is now in my hips and knees so I am assuming we go on to more meds, I am
in my 8th month of the TB med, so maybe enbrel will start, although I have
read a lot of posts about the enbrel really bothering people's bladder, does
anyone here have any experience with that?
Thanks again
Becky

Yes, my leg muscles ache, especially on the outer sides of the thighs. As
the hip acts up, the muscles get tight, making the hips (and knees) worse. I
bought a foam roller to use to soften them up, but haven't used them yet.
Ducky says you can do the same thing using a tennis ball. You put the tennis
ball on the bed/floor and slowly roll on top of it to soften up the muscle.
Hurts, but really helps.

that sounds a lot like polymyalgia - the full name is polymyalgia rheumatica.
You might look it up before your doctor visit so you can ask more about the
possibility.
