Hi Annie, I wish I could say that I understood what is taking place with
the "no fever" and things like walking Pneumonia ,,,, sinus infection ,,,,
and such. Fever is a good thing if it does not get too high. I remember
and old doctor I had that fussssed at me about taking an aspirin every time
I had a little fever or head ache. He would say,,,, let your body do its
job. He said for me to take aspirin if something lasts more than three
days.... ???? I do not know if that is good or not. He was kind of set
in his ways but a good hearted old guy. He gave me my glucometer when we
realized that I had a problem with sugar. I found out a couple of years
later that it was about 50 dollars worth of tester and supplies. He was
closing out his practice and I still use it today.
Sorry,,, my mind is wandering today.

Ah, let your mind wander Harv. I enjoy reading you when you are like
that, and even when you aren't. Good Lord, does that make any sense?
My docs always said if the fever lastes more than 2 days to take
something for it, but anymore, I don't seem to get a fever (strep
throat should have produced something), or if I do it goes through the
roof (105).

Thanks, it's still hanging on. Spent time yesteray on the river
kayaking (can't keep me away joints or not) to get away from the heat
and yuck in the city. It's not terribly bad but very noticeable. I'll
call my pcp tomorrow and probably get a script for some abx. I hate
taking them. Patiently waiting for the enbrel to do it's remarkable
thing.
I got up to 17.5 on injectable mtx and then couldn't find it for love
or money anywhere here. It's availble for chemo use but not for
outpatient pharmacies. I checked with a hospital pharmacist a while
back. Can't do the pills so we had planned on adding enbrel anyway
since the mtx wasn't holding me anymore. Bummer. I'd trade the
morning after feeling of the mtx for this crap any day of the week.
I just hope it's a passing summer cold/sinus/bad weather fluke than the
enbrel. Just seems to reason since there's no fever just the
congestion and drainage plus my asthma is horrible too. MTX was great
for that. Was able to stop using all my inhalers for the past three
years while I was on it. Back to those again now. Sigh.
