Hi group we are all here. Trying to get 15 people into one shuttle to
go visit the zoo. Watch out Zoo.
Wine party was in party central last night and tonight a second blender
will be arriving. Plenty of food and pictures for blackmail will be
available later.
Kate says she is a bad influence on MaryZ. Mary and Joe and Mary and Jo
is leading to confusion with the names but that is okay.
Otherwise things are just ducky here.

The Saturday evening wine party was a blast!  Wish I could have
participated in more!

Firechief had his gimp radar on high and recognized me as I was going
into the hotel (he and Kate and Tish were having a "fresh air" break).
Hugs all around!  Room 640 had an extensive wine bar going (and coffee
liqueur drinks).   It only took a couple minutes to get names
associated with faces--it was like a really great family reunion (but
even better! If it had been my family fights might have broken out!).
We talked, and talked and talked and in no time at all it was late,
late evening.

Rachel is gorgeous, Jo and Charlie have very, very handsome and well
mannered grandsons.  All the adults are even better looking in person
than they are on the internet and just as witty, interesting and
hilarious as you might imagine.

What an amazing group: Joe, Mary, Duckie, John, Kate, MaryZ, Kelly,
Lisa, Rachel, Tish, Aim, Jo, Charlie and all the kids--may this be the
first of many happy meetings.

it sounds like a great time was had by all. I am glad for you all. I still
wish I could have been there but maybe next time.

Someone, somewhere, mentioned Central California for next
year.  Perhaps Fresno?  Or better yet Modesto?  That would
put us within a stone's throw of the Hershey chocolate factory
in Oakdale.  With a tour of that place on the agenda, we
should be able to double this year's attendance.  <g>

Chief - are you volunteering to head up the welcome committee?

If we lived closer to the area, Mary and I would more than
willing to do that duty.  But I'm afraid we're going to have
much more important work here the next 12 months.

We were elected presidents of one of the square dance
clubs we belong to.  The election was conducted on the
Friday after the gimp meeting in Portland, while we were
atttending the National Square Dance Convention.  Mary
received the news via a cell phone call while we were
headed for Pocatello, Idaho.

... WinErr: 00F - Unexplained error.  Please tell us how it happened.

WOW!!  I know from experience how much work that can be if you have a truly
active club.  That's great, Chief! My congrats and condolences all at once.
Have fun.  Believe me, you'll have lots of wonderful memories from your
tenure.

How cool is that. Hope you wanted the position and
weren't volunteered without your permission. Had that
happen to me more than once. ;)
Hey -- if I can partially organize a Gimpfest in
Portland while I live in Boston, I expect I can do the
same if I live in the same state as the Gimpfest.
Luckily, others stepped up to the plate and brought in
the goodies but I expect we would have managed okay
with nothing but a trip to the liquor store. rofl
