Saw my doctor yesterday and when I told him a knuckle on my right hand gets
red and hurts, he looked at it and said it was swollen (I couldn't tell!).
He had an xray done and then decided he needed an MRI because he's afraid I
have RA on top of the OA.  Waited about 40 minutes to have the MRI done, and
then the blasted machine broke down before they finished.  Now I have to go
back to Thursday to get the MRI finished and finish my appointment!  The
only good thing is that my granddaughter is at cheer camp this week in
Birmingham and they had a competition last night so my DIL and I went
together, and she has to go back Thursday to bring Annie home.  So we will
go together again.  At least I don't have to drive the 200 miles alone.

40 minute wait for an MRI?!?!?!?!  My wife had to wait nearly 6 months
for an MRI on her head to determine whether she had MS or not.

When my RD suspected RA, she sent me for an isotope uptake full body
bone scan.  With all of the inflamed parts I have, I lit up like a
christmas tree :)

i was just thinking something very similar.  ((((((((((((gwen)))))))))))  it
has to be fun, watching your granddaughter compete, gwen.  if this is the
dil i spoke with on the phone, she is such a loving lady.  i bet it's a
pleasure traveling with her, too.

Kate, she is a lovely lady, and I am so blesed to have her for a
daughter-in-law.  She is generous to a fault and never says no to anyone if
there is a posibility of her doing what they ask.  I take pleasure in
reminding my son I told him about her before he met her.  My daughter once
said if Billy didn't marry Jayne, she would!  Joking of course, but she
really loves Jayne.  Our family is blessed by her.

i know it sounds kind of nutty, but i could hear all those things about
jayne in her voice over the phone.   butch's voice was like that, too; and
after being around him for 28 years, i suppose that's why i can sometimes
hear those same kinds of things in others people's voices.  it's not often
that a person's voice reveals so much about that person.  and i think you're
right, that your family is blest to have her among you.  it's wonderful that
you guys appreciate her, and so, that makes jayne be blessed, too.  and your
daughter's comment was comically cute.  i like her sense of humor.LOL

Hi Gwen,

Hope you get good news from the tests and that you don't have RA.  How
have you been?  Is it hot yet in Montgomery?  E-mail me sometime.
