Hi,
Well I was instructed to see my Dentist and get my teeth cleaned and any
thing that had to be repaired, repaired prior tø Chemotherapy. Dentist
saw several suspicious teeth and called my Cancer Doc. His very direct
no frills reply was "pull them". My Dentist who had already made room
for me called the Oral Surgeon, who made room for me the very next day.
The Oral Surgeon's panoramic x-Ray of my full face indicated there were
six teeth that had to be pulled.
Chose to be sedated and came out without any pain and very minimal
bleeding. I will have week for them to heal which means that my
Chemotherapy session was postponed to June 20th. The PICC line was
inserted yesterday and the Home Health Care nurse was here today to show
us how to flush it and change the dressing. Medicare will pay for the
Home Health Care Nurse. My Secondary insurance will pay for the
supplies I will need each week.
The bills for the tests are beginning to come in. Can't imagine what
the tests alone are going to cost. We are so blessed to have good
health insurance.
Dee Tee and Bob such great news on Dee Tee's health. Hopefully this put
her on the road to recovery. Even better news that the House is Sold
and you may have a few extra funds for some of those things you have
always wanted.
I spent 23 years in Real Estate, but we have hired an appraiser to look
at a piece of land we own with my SIL back in Ohio. There are 3.5 acres
and the Township once approved the site for a five home development.
Development pricing is different than vacant land sales and I have been
away too long to be able tø price it on my own. I can recall advising
some of my Sellers that their "unusual" property" may just deserve being
appraised by an appraiser dealing with exceptional properties. An
owner feels so much more secure having the opinion of a professional who
has no interest in the sale of the properly.
Duckie, you may want to consider this approach to be certain your price
is being determined by a disinterested party. We were very successful
in this approach back in 2º02 when we used the appraiser's price to sell
65 acres, rather than my price which would have been ten times less. I
never could have looked our business partner in the eye again, had we
used my price.

Prayers continuing. Hope things go smoothly from here on out.
(p.s. look under your pillow when you wake...Tooth Fairy in NJ leaves a
buck a tooth usually <bg>.)

Hopefully, pulling those teeth will make things better for you. Keep us
informed...we'll keep you in our prayers.

Thanks Don. John and I talked about it last night. He
says we are NOT lowering the price by more than 10K if
we did and that is not worth the effort. The great news
is that we don't have to sell right now. And we are
planning to rent something on the other end no matter
what we do for awhile just to get a feel for where we
really want to be. So speed is not important. John has
said that he will send me on to CA if only so I don't
have to live through the next winter. I am not worried
just sad that it is not attracting any attention.
Glad you were able to see the dentist so quickly. We
are all holding your hands Don. Prayers continue full
force.

boy, i'm glad the oral surgeon you had was a good one! some are great and
others make you wonder if they were always sadists or if they were better
suited for building demolition work.
keep keeping going, guy. one foot in front of the other and you'll get to
where you want to be.
