Well to those of you who might be headed out early, unfortunately it
looks like our weather may be going sour.  Latest forecast says an
omega weather block pattern will set up starting on Wednesday and
running through the weekend.  So you might pack with a bit of rain
gear.  Sorry the rain goddess decided to play a few tricks this year.

This is the explanation from Medford weather bureau, and Portland has
similar discussions:

AS THE FRONT MOVES ONSHORE IT WILL STALL AS A DEEPENING UPPER LOW WILL
DROP SOUTH OFFSHORE BETWEEN 130W AND 140W.  FLOW ALOFT OVER THE
MEDFORD CWA WILL TURN SOUTHWEST AND STRENGTHEN AS IT DOES SO.  AFTER
STALLING OFFSHORE FOR A FEW DAYS THE LOW WILL BEGIN TO MOVE WEST
WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND FINALLY ONSHORE OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST FRIDAY.
ONCE IT ARRIVES IT WILL HANG AROUND THE AREA THROUGH THE WEEKEND AS IT
FORMS THE WEST SIDE OF A OMEGA BLOCK THAT WILL SPAN NORTH AMERICA.
SO...THE MONDAY FRONT WILL STALL FOR AWHILE BUT WILL REACTIVATE WHEN
IT GETS REINFORCED BY THE INCOMING LOW.  JUST WHEN THIS WILL OCCUR IS
A GOOD QUESTION BUT WEDNESDAY LOOKS LIKE AS GOOD A DAY AS ANY TO START
UP THE PRECIPITATION AGAIN.  THE CURRENT FORECAST HAS SOME
AFTERNOON/EVENING THUNDERSTORMS FOR TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.  NOT SURE
ABOUT THIS AND WILL INVESTIGATE FURTHER.  THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY
LOOK TO BE QUITE WET.

Sigh.  Figures.  We arrive just as the miserable weather arrives.  Time to
shop for new rain gear...

Might want to get a good tarp if you are camping.  Portland weather
says the same wet through the weekend.  It has been like this all
spring a couple nice days then gray for days.  It has been raining
continually just occaisional showers so maybe it won't be too bad. --
