Long time no post, eh? Yeah, always the prodigal one, I am.

So Tish and I are going to Gimpfest FOR SURE. However, we'd planned on
going Saturday evening, staying over, and then maybe even staying Sunday
night as well and having some time to ourselves in Portland.

Well, it turns out she's finalizing an adoption on Monday so she has to be
back at work. So she's trying to get out of work on Saturday so we can
come down Friday night. NO promises, but it's a maybe... We're working on
it, but it will be severely last minute! Oh well, what can you do? One way
or another we'll make it happen. The hotel still has openings, so we're ok
so far. (knock on wood!)

I have to run, she's due home and has had a very rough day, worked 18
hours (I worked 11, but that's not 18, so I'm going to get her some
low-carb, sugar free, nondairy ice cream and surprise her.. yes, it
exists, believe it or not!)

Have a great night everyone. All my love!

I'm so jealous.  Yeah, I'm still here.  Yeah, I'd love to see all of you
in Portland.  Yeah, I'd love to meet the newbies (not so new anymore, I
suppose) that will be there.

I'll post more about me maybe tomorrow.  As always, I miss you all.

thanks, Nann.  I owe Aim a phone call. So, if during the gimpfest, she
calls me, and passes the phone around, or puts me on speaker, I'll maybe
feel like I participated, at least a little.  I'd just have to settle
for the cyber marguirita.  :-)

Now, I'll go change my sig line, cuz the Arthritis walk was last
weekend, and it was fun.

i'm gonna miss meeting you and seeing nann again.  it was sooo fun getting
to meet her.  i never did anything like this gimp picnic/gimpfest stuff
before, where you meet perfect friends who lost the quality of being
perfect strangers long before you meet them.

Yay! I am so looking forward to next weekend! If I could only get this da**
sinus infection to go away, life would be perfect.

not in this part of the country, it doesn't!  LOL  I'm lucky to find much of
anything that isn't full-everything that's bad for you----

geez, I wish I didn't have this scheduling conflict, but I wouldn't miss
Mike's first ordination for anything, not even a Gimpfest.  All the rest of
you will have to give Aim and Tish big hugs from me!

we'll keep that in mind!  It might be a good idea to separate the two of us
if we make it out there and onto the river.  Each of us knows just enough
about paddling to get in major arguments when we've tried to navigate a
canoe.  We could both do with some learning experiences - especially where we
live now, with all these lakes and rivers around.

whew!  for a moment there i thought i was turning into roseb (not a bad
thing, just the rare mis-read).  my brain interpretted "down the river" as
taking people to jail.  then i wondered, isn't that up the river?  or is
that up the river without a paddle?  nevermind, i'll never figure out what
my brain was doing.LOL
