I am restarting this thread because I didn't state my problem
properly the first time.
My biggest problem is my RA.  I have too many problems with hands,
shoulders and neck to hold a phone to my ear for more than a few
seconds. And I don't like headsets. This leaves speakerphones. I have
been using speakerphones for several years; the quality of most
speakerphones has been just so-so. Lately my hearing is not quite as
good and I really need to try harder to find a high quality
speakerphone. An amplification option would be nice, but I suspect that
good quality without amplification would also do the trick. Any
suggestions?
Thank you,
Ellen

Yes,,, your DMARD is not doing the job.  You and your RD need to talk about
changes.

We are currently using a pair of VTech cordless phones at home.  I'm not
much of a judge of sound quality but I find it easy to use.  I use the
speakerphone feature.   Its a pair of 2.4 digitals I picked up at Sam's Club
for under $40.  The caller ID list and the stored number list save me from
having to dial.  And I could just sit the handset upright on the table in
front of me and talk using the speaker phone.
