So tomorrow after school I will be leaving to catch a flight to
Calgary to attend my convocation on Friday.

I had emailed my Rd last weekend asking about arava and he said to
stop taking it and come to see him on the 20th for the joint count and
evaluation before starting enbrel. The funny thing is that I feel
better now after not being on arava. I stopped taking it maybe ten
days ago, and my joints have progressively gotten better, I can close
my hands, and my ankle is not swollen either. I may be "refractory" to
arava as well. Now I do understand that there is still arava in my
system, but it is reducing and i have been slowly feeling better.
I don't think I am at the point where i can go it alone with oly mtx,
but I may have difficulty finding something that i don't react to.

I am still packing the pred, just in case.

Have a wonderful time Rose. See you on the other side.
We will be on the Rogue by the time you see your doctor
but will be interested in what he thinks about this
recovery. Here is hoping the joints stay miserable
enough that he feels the enbrel is warranted.

And now I am back.
The weekend seemed to have gone by far too quickly. The convocation
was very nice, and I had a great time. I go t to spend time with some
old friends, and see a lot of Calgary.
It will seem strange going back to work after going on this
mini-vacation.

Did you get pictures?

In the morning while I was getting ready I noticed that my battery was
dead in my camera, so I did not take any pictures there myself. They
do have an on-sight photographer though, so there were pics taken.
These should arrive within the month.
