how aggravating! I can see that for some "medical devices", but it hardly
seems necessary with a reacher. And I agree with you - the customer should
be aware of this at the time of purchase.

Thank You Nan.......I notified my cc company too--I'll be glad if they
can help.
They are sending a form to fill out.

One could easily miss it --even if posted near the register--to the
side of it--easily missed
It should be pointed out verbally, calling attention to the notice
and stamped in the receipt.

I'm not going to go to that pharmacy anymore--to darn expensive

The LOST reacher WAS found.......behind a cabinet with wheels--never saw
it--until today.
Whomever moved that cabinet picked up the reacher too and just laid it
behind the "puter cabinet!

I filed complaint with the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau--about the
drugstore that would not take back the new, unused, unopened one

P.S. The reacher (the one we submitted to medicare/medicaid) got
approved. I should get it today

Re: Reacher Sticks
Remember....... most of the others were out of pocket purchased
Only one ($24) was paid for by medicare/medicaid with a $1 co-pay
If choosing a reacher......choose the one that
1) comfortably fits your hands
2) the spring tension feels right when you squeeze the handle and is
3) the right length for your needs
and
4) is the right price and quality for you.
Shop around......hardware stores may be cheaper if the pharmacies are
priced higher
