Jeff's master's degree project was entered in the
Academy of Arts annual art show. He WON!!!! They have
been hinting all week that they really wanted him to be
there. lol First place in 3-D animation. This is a
really good sign. His friend Ni won last years and got
all sorts of job offers.
Happy Dance,

I will. Every time I think about it, I can't help but
smile. Jen will be 29 this summer and he has been in
our life since she was 16. He might as well be my child
the way I feel about him.

I know how you feel Duckie. My niece graduates on Sunday with her BS in
Computer Science. I am so proud of her. I wish I could be there to see
her but that's not possible. I just hope people take LOTS of pictures :)

Is she headed to grad school for that? That was John's
major and his master's is from Cornell. He's my cute
little geek.

No, she actually wants to pursue music. And I am so encouraging her as
no one ever encouraged my music (my parents considered it a waste of
time and something that would never make me any money). I am encouraging
her to use the talents that God gave her. She is also an excellent
writer and has been published in the literary magazine of her college
for the past two years, and she's on the campus newspaper as a reporter.
I think when and if she decides on grad school, it will be for writing.
She is so incredibly gifted. (She must take after her aunt, LOL :)))

Tell her to follow her heart and you never know what might turn up.
A friend of mine from high school studied composition and trombone at the
Conservatory at the University of Cinncinati. He was also a National Merit
finalist in high school and was able to benenfit greatly from other classes
at the university. After deciding that fighting for a career in the arts
didn't interest him that much, he did a bit of this and that for several
years. Learned programming when computers started really catching on.
Eventually, he landed a job at Coda Music, working on THE music transcription
software and he loves it. In his spare time he plays with a local symphony
and still does some composing. Prety cool, all in all.

The ranch just pink slipped 1500. Probably the end of
the Star Wars crowd. Doubt it will be there. Pixar is
over in Oakland and he has had an early offer to a
place [name is gone for some reason] in Redwood City.
Hoping this award will give him many more choices. :)
