Jayne, wondering if you can tell me anything about Molesworth. My grandson
just went there to begin working for an IT company, Titan, as a graphic
designer. I'm sure his job is in some way connected to the RAF Base as he
has a US military address and also a British Post address at RAF Molesworth.
So now I'm very curious about the place!

Hi Gwen,
not wishing to steal Jaynes reply, but saw your post and thought I
could help. The first thing to realise, which may be a little
confusing, but trust me, it is the case, is that Royal Air Force [UK]
and USAF [USA] bases on mainland UK are both called RAF bases.
I could not give you the reason for that, but it is the case. Thus you
could pitch up at RAF Lakenheath and find nothing but Americans!
Anyway back to your question, you should beable to find out quite a
bit about RAF Molesworth here:
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/facility/molesworth.htm
hope that helps

the map shows molesworth being between Huntingdon and Kettering.
People from Kettering are associated with the shoe making trade

Huntingdon was the birthplace of Oliver Cromwell and also associated
with our ex Prime Minister Major.

I see Andy replied, as it near his part of the country. Good luck with your
grandson's job.
