Ok I went and I like this guy. He checked my spine..finally I have a doctor
that was taking my spine seriously. I have disk disease? Anyways he gave me
a new pain med and I think this will help. He also is sending me to a sleep
doc for my fatigue. He thinks there is more to the fatigue than the RA and
Lupus. He wants to wait for the biologics until the blood work and sleep
study is back.
I like him he is willing to help my pain! I have heard that he believes in
pain management! Good because I need it.
I think I like him, it was a good visit and I felt like I got somewhere. I
didn't put down my old RD when he asked why I changed. I just simply said I
felt as if he was overbooked and could not give me the care I needed. He
understood ( I think he knows him). Yea I am on the road to pain relief!!!!!

well, this is a good beginning with a new rd.  here's hoping he's a keeper.
how did he diagnose your ddd (degenerative disk disease)?  what i mean is
did you take xrays with you or did he send you out for some imaging of some
kind?  glad you heard he believes in pain management, that's a biggie.  i
like the way you handled his question about your last rd.  very
classy.<smile>  feel better soon, rhonda.

sounds promising and hopeful!  Good RDs are worth their weight in gold - and
then some - to us.
