I moved to a new apartment around 4-17-05.

For several weeks before the move--I was fighting bronchitis--and trying
to set up the apartment--and fighting to have the doc put me in the
hospital--which he finally did

The week of April 23--27-05

I spent in the hospital fighting bronchitis, pneumonia, a urinary tract
infection ans a sinus infection and dehydration, AND diarreah.  I
believe the Arithromycin was too strong--making me sicker.  Would you
try getting to the doc if it was COLD out--and you were THAT sick?  I
was so run down........so dehydrated I could not even throw up--that
sinus junk in my stomach--and was barely eating food......epidemic in
the building.....I knew that "familiar" cough

I hate it when the hospital switches your meds or confiscates (one time
the LOST them and it took 5 days to return them) your regular meds.

For those 5 days--I was without my Voltaren, Zantac, Loperamide and my
Zyrtec.

For 3 days, I was on an I.V. and placed in the CCU (isolation) and they
considered placing me in a "home" because for two days I couldn't eat at
the hospital. Of course I complained........and got an apology from the
doctor

I do manage well--when I am NOT critically ill, depaite the Cerebral
Palsy.  The doc should have realized that I'd been ill and had JUST
moved "cut me some slack"--before mentioning nursing home

I have lived on my own for 20 years......nice to br home too--even if
i'm still disorganized yet (cant find nothing!)--I'm not pushing it too
hard.
