Howie - have you seen a doctor about the puffiness and stiffness?  It
*could* be arthritis, then again it could be something entirely different.
None of us is a doctor and would only be guessing anyway.  I strongly
recommend you tell your primary care physician (PCP) about this and if
necessary, get a referral to a rheumatologist.  That's the doctor best
suited to treat the more than 170+ brands of arthritis.

Hope this helps, DeeTee

Have you seen a rheumatologist [RD]? That would be the
first place to start.
Meanwhile, trying reading here

Howie, my son had a problem with a lot of pain in the tops of his feet.  By
the end of the day he was limping they hurt so bad.  After the Arthrotec did
my pain so much good (before I had to stop taking it), he asked his
cardiologist if he could take it and was given permission to do so.  It has
helped him a lot---much less pain for him.

I'm going to guess that most, if not all, replies will be
along the line of getting to a Rheumatologist (RD), a
doctor who specializes in investigating, diagnosing
and treating the more than 100 forms of arthritis.

The reason is, none of us are doctors and we cannot
practice medicine.  We lean on each other's shoulders,
share the Kleenix (and chocolate), talk about the kids
and grandkids, gripe about a piss-poor doctor, talks
about canoe trips,  etc. etc. etc., but we cannot make
a diagonsis for you.

Some folks here have been misdiagnosed for years
by 1 or more doctors, and we certainly have do not
medical training to make an attempt to examine you
via the internet and make a diagnosis (in spite of
what the drug spammers say).

Depending on your insurance/health plan, your
primary care physician (PCP) may have to make
a referral for you to see another doctor, and the
sooner the better.

... I was so poor growing up, if I hadn't been a
... boy I would have had nothing to play with.
