(After posting this on another site, a poster said I should post this on
a.s.a.)

Hi--
My Dr told me to start taking Glucosamine Sulfate at 1500 mg/day, then later
possibly go up to 3000 mg/day.
I've seen so much that is Glucosamine and Chondrotin (sp?) but nothing on
just Glucosamine Sulfate.
Anyone know much about the difference between the two?
Could it be that he chose the sulfate because I'm diabetic on pills and
Insulin, on Plavis, heart risk  40% ejection rate, or carotid 60 % blockage?
Is there some counter-indication involved?

Thanks---
Ron

Ah good one Gary. I have saved this message because I
was not sure what to say but sure didn't want Ron to go
unanswered.
Ron, here is another site as well

Good luck with all this reading. When you have finished
and have even more questions, feel free to ask them. No
one here are doctors and we do not play them on the
internet. We are just patients or friends of patients
of some of the 170+ forms of arthritis. Lots of us have
been around the block and then some and are very
familiar with medications, the diseases and what works
and what doesn't.
