Lets see who we think would make good actors for the returning characters in the Stephanie Plum novels. The only a few I've got an idea on so far is: Grandma: Estelle Gettes. So sad she's not able to act anymore. Morelli: Mel Gibson -- I know he's not as Italian looking as described but it's who I always imagine when I'm reading about him. Ranger: Jimmy Smits. Enough said. That's about as far as I get before my imagination takes over. I can't really get a good actress in my mind for Stephanie. I think maybe Debra Messing might be a good combination of serious/comedy that Stephanie has but also maybe a red-headed Dread De Matteo (Joey's sister/x-soprano's actress) would be good also. How about it? Who do the rest of you think? There's Vinnie, Mom and Dad, Valarie and of course, Lula and a whole range of villans. Kelly C. i know that when one for the money was optioned for the movie (which has never yet been made) (and which was what propelled the book to stardom cause it was a big, very noticeable option) janet was hoping for marissa tomei to be cast as stephanie. she may be a little too old now, but i think that would have been a great choice. diane still working on this. thinking . . . melissa tomay is probably a shue-in for stephanie, though i'd love to see sandra bullock try the role. george clooney as morelli christopher judge for ranger. definitely queen latifa for lula. definitely estelle geddes for grandma massur (she'd who i hear in my head as i read), but there is one other actress who can do this, but i can't think of her name at the moment. olivia dukakis for mom i see dad as an ed asner type, but i can't think of the actors' names. the greek actress who wrote and starred in "my big fat greek wedding" for connie. and for vinnie, well the guy who played vinnie opposite melissa tomay in what was that movie, "my cousin vinnie"? still thinking and i might change my mind as i come up with other actors' & actresses' names. kate > Lets see who we think would make good actors for the returning > characters in the Stephanie Plum novels.
