we finally returned from Florida yesterday with a bit too much going on  (got
bumped from from a flight in Atlanta yesterday, spent almost 9 hours in the
airport with me getting an ever worsening cold, ended up finally getting to
our place about 3:15 am only to find out Mike had a funeral at 11 am!  And
his cold (he had it first) has been getting worse today.)  I'm laying low for
a while and trying to recover some.  Unfortunately this is not one of those
colds where your joints feel better.  Every square centimeter of my body
aches and I'm out of Zanaflex so my muscles really ache too!  kept getting a
busy signal when I tried to call the pharmacy today.  The joints that usually
hurt some are screaming.  Oh well, morning will come eventually.  And maybe
after a few days of drugs and sucking on zinc I'll be feeling chipper.

We did have a really great vacation though, glorious weather and we both were
able to catch up with lots of friends and family.  Gainesville will always be
home in a part of our hearts.  Even bought ourselves a couple of treats at
the big Spring Arts Festival.

Welcome back, Nann.  Glad you two enjoyed Florida but so sorry that you
both came back with colds.  Hope you get your Zanaflex quickly and get
some good rest.  Feel better very soon.

Welcome back Nan I am sorry you are under the weather getting back to
a cold climate after basking in the warmth must be a tough transition,
even tougher when you are sick.  Take it easy and lay off the Enbrel!

Nann - the only thing I miss about Florida is the warm weather - and even
that has gotten too warm for me.  Glad you had fun.  Now, this aching stuff
has got to stop!  Get some rest and hopefully you'll feel better soon.

Hugs, DeeTee

Hi Nann!

Welcome back!!!   Sorry to hear you and Mike are feeling a bit under the
weather.  Praying that you get to feeling better real soon.   Hopefully
this nice sunny warm weather that we have been having will help you get
through the rough spots.   Glad you were able to make the trip and enjoy
your time while there in florida.   How is things with your moms place?
Is she all rebuilt and repaired yet?

Hope you were able to get your muscle relaxant and are resting and
taking it a bit easy.

We missed you.

Tell Mike I said hello!

Hugs!

Mother's getting there.  Her house is at that really frustrating point where
all the final details are taking too long.  The big thing when we left was
getting the inspector out there so they could get the electricity on and they
still had to put up her wall of bookshelves.  I'd really hoped we'd be able
to help her move stuff back into that room while we were there, but it just
didn't happen. Did help her buy the ceiling fan and her new dryer. And the
rest of the house, having been without electricity for more than 6 months
now, is getting somewhat moldy.  (the joys of Florida!)  Fortuantely, she has
a good person to help her with the clean up.

got it Saturday and eased some pains.  Man, I'm making up for the lack of
colds and very mild colds of the past couple fo years.  They seem to have all
teamed up into one biggie.  At least it appears the nice weather will hold
until I feel better.  LOL

> Tell Mike I said hello!

will do.  He still talks about what a great sense of humor you have!  (that's
important with him - he asked me out because I laughed at his jokes!)

oh yeah, laying off the Enbrel for sure.  Didn't even have the energy to
shoot up on Friday!  LOL  The cold hit about 18 hours after I took my mtx.
I'm thinking that may have contributed to it hitting me so hard.  Up to the
5th miserable day so far.......  Adding insult to injury, the weather is
gorgeous here!  highs in the 50s/low 60s and oodles of sun.  We returned to
find my tulip bulbs pushing up throuugh the soil.  Maybe flowers aren't far
off.  so far, I've only been outside to walk over to the pharmacy for my
zanaflex, but soon, soon.........

meanwhile, though, Mike's first ordination, to the transitional diaconate, is
still set for June 19th.  Unless that changes, I won't make Portland :(  If
Mike can get another week off this year, he wants to go to the National
Scrabble Championships in Reno and I'm thinking about going along to play on
my own.  That'll be a nice use for our vouchers...... that, or flying home at
Christmas without having to fight for early, cheap fares!  LOL

well, it's good to see you, even if you aren't tip top, sweetie.

i still swear by that otc "zicam" spray stuff for colds that adelle swears
by.  that stuff works!  how 'bout a long and leisurely hot soak for your
screaming joints, hon?  drowning them might make them quiet. ???

florida is beautiful and warm, but i'm afraid i'm with deetee in that i
can't take the heat, even in april.  glad you love it and had a great time,
though.

Nann,

I sure hope things settle down for you soon again.

I know that virus and it is not fun. I am still having problems with it
months later.

Mine went into pleurodinea which is tied in with the fms stuff.
Also have had to get shot of medrol last Mon and yesterday because of
breathing stuff and pain.

Bursitis does not like the shots either.

I sure hope you heal quickly from it and don't have any more problems
because of it.

Love and hugs to all
Good thoughts coming your way too.
