Okay, has anyone actually made reservations for Portland yet? I was just
checking out the web site for the hotel and realized I have no idea if we
are getting a group rate or on which floor I should ask to be located in
order to be close to everyone.

Besides all this, the rates have either gone up substantially since we first
investigated the hotel, or we have a rate code that I'm not familiar with.
Anybody?

I believe Duckie nailed it down for us.   I know she called them and
set up a group rate.   Hopefully she will be along soon.  -- MZ

Thanks, Mary!

I've just got into one of my rare 'get it done' modes and wanted to make my
reservation. We're not that far out, now! Woohoooo!!

Kelly..
The code to ask for is AGF. When you go into the website to make
reservations put your dates for your reservation inthe check
rates/availabilty section.  Then enter the code for the roomtype you want in
the "group code" section. The code to use is at the end of each line below
(the AGFAGFA or B etc). The Studios and 1 bedrooms have king beds with
sofabeds.  The STEX is a studio with a balcony.  The TOBR have 2 seperate
bedrooms , a king bed in each , a sofabed, 2 baths.  TOBX has a balcony.
The group will be cutoff on May 17 if the hotel is going to sellout.  It can
usually be extended if availabilty is there.

Just what I needed! Thank you, Karen!:o)

I'll make my reservation right away...any recommendation which floor I
should try and be on? I'm think lower floors would best, eh?

Okay, made my reservation, but did find that the one bedrooms have a king
bed and a sofa, but not a sofa bed. Only the studios have a sofa bed.

Also, the two bedroom suites are no longer available. I got a studio suite,
with a sofabed for the night of the 18th...if anybody needs a place to
crash, I have a soft spot.:o)  It comes with a worning, though. I am a very
light sleeper and always get up to pee in the night. TMI, maybe, but there
ya go.

I just made my reservation for a two bedroom and got
lucky. Someone must have canceled. Stupid web site kept
screwing up and then booked one night so I had to call
and the lady said that she is showing us booked in a
two bedroom but indeed there were not many left if any.
Like I said, I got lucky.

Cool!   I don't mind sharing my room with someone.  There is only one
bed but I will be taking my rafting mattress which is totally
comfortable.  I volunteer to sleep on it if someone wants to take the
bed.  Let me know if anyone is interested.  My mattress rolls up into
a duffel so no problem getting it in.   -- MZ

OMG!  now, i know i've got to sleep in my car!  it has nothing to do with
the money---i don't understand the language.  seriously, this is one of
those things that totally shows me how anachronistic i am!

mail and tubs and boxes and ... oh crap.
Thank you Kimmy

Here is all you need to know. I think Mary and I are
taking a two room suite so we will have a smoke free
meeting room to use i.e. our living room.
Does that help?

Thanks, Duckie, but Karen helped me out with the actual rate codes I needed
and I got a studio room for Saturday night.

You're starting to sound a little frazzled. Are you doing too much at once?
Nah, not our Duckie!:oP
