I broke a portable cd player's door---latch broke off.  Door wouldn't
stay down without taping it shut.

I fixed it with self stick velcro,  I put a piece in the botom of the
player and on the top of the door where the latch was.

And cut another piece to act as the strap

--attaching it to velcro on the top and bottom (leaving the adheasive
of the strap piece covered)--and to open the door--you pull the top of
the strap......beats using tape to keep door shut

The player still works perfectly.

Bonnie,

Good idea about the CD player.  I wanted to let you know I received my
book.  Thanks for sending it.  It was great to read all of the notes in
the back.  I'm glad everyone enjoyed it.
