The other morning I woke up sleeping on my left hand (I wasn't wearing
my splint and am not sure I should be wearing it to bed) and discovered
my  joints were red. I have lunate necrosis/ and arthritis in the left
wrist--this happens when pressure is on the joint too

normal color returned eventually.

My right hand/wrist has the arthritis--but no necrosis

Do you think this is because of the osteoarthritis or the necrosis (bone
death) or both?

I will ask the doctor--see what he says

Neither........

Was told by my doc that neither the arthritis or necrosis caused my red
joints--just my head being on top my hand

Just never noticed them being so red before
