I got more of the tubular stockinette for my splint, gauze is too tight.
I was told to watch if fingers turned color.

yeah, if the fingers start turning blueish or getting really pale or cold,
your circulation could be messed up.  When my wrist was pinned I used lengths
of the stockinette to cover the contraption in public so i wouldn't have to
deal with as many reactions to it!  Worked really well for that and keeping
the dust away from the pinholes without being too hot (I was in FL then.)

It is a little difficult to push ny manual chair with splint, so I may
have to get knobs on the rims.  I have a lot LESS flare up in the
fingers in the left hand.

The other hand is compensating for the left--and the left fingers
flare--that's arthritis for ya
