I checked airline prices today for a flight from Montgomery to Sarasota and
the lowest is

I checked prices today on flights from Montgomery, AL to Sarasota, and the
lowest price is $271.00. If I drive to Atlanta the price will be $213.00.
Both more than I can afford, so it looks as if I will have to drive down.
Is there anyone who would like to drive down with me? It was an 8 hour
drive from Montgomery to Lake County where we lived & I think it would be
about 8 hours to Bradenton. I also want to share a room with someone. Any
takers?

Gwen,

We've got quite a few people on our boards that are going to the

Hi Gwen,
Tampa is only 50 miles north of Sarasota and would be quite a bit less to
fly into. How close are you to Birmingham? Southwest from there to Tampa is
$80. Of course that still doesn't have you in Sarasota yet. Atlanta to Tampa
I'm sure is quite a bit less too, but I didn't check any prices.

Gary, that is an idea I hadn't thought about. I'm closer to Birmingham than
to Atlanta and I used to live in Tampa. Drove by the airport to get home
from work every day and that same highway goes to the coast! Thanks for the
idea.
