Hi Walt,

Was just sitting here today thinking of you and your family and
wondering how everyone is doing?   How bout an update on Micah, Amanda,
Wendy, and of course yourself!!!    Hope you are all doing well and that
life has been a bit kinder to you and your family lately!

Thanks for thinking of us.  Here's the rundown:

Amanda is blossoming from social butterfly to social Eagle, flying above the
crowd and leading the way.  She just finished a middle-school production of
the Wizard of Oz - the original screenplay - all 2.5 hours worth.  She was
the prompter and managed the stage crew.  After a month of 4 to 5 hours a
day of rehearsals, we are all glad it is over, but we are very proud of how
well the play went.  It was a real gem, far superior to many community
theater productions I've seen.

Amanda's next project is the taping of a Education Channel special about her
Celtic harp group.  The school bought 12 Sharpcycles this year and they have
been learning Celtic harp.  Amanda is very good on the harp.  The taping is
the 24th I believe.  After that there is the Eastern regional middle-school
music festival at Hershey Park, then Lip-stock.  That is an eighth-grade
only production were teams lip-sync to their favorite bands from a specified
period in time.  This year they are doing the 80's.  It is the end-of-middle
school celebration and is an absolute riot.

Micah, well, he's not doing so well.  He quit his job when they insisted he
work on Sunday (even though he said on the application he wouldn't).  His
social anxiety is really controlling him right now.  Most days I have a hard
time getting him out of the house at all.  His labs are also heading in the
wrong direction.  They're not bad yet, just trending up, instead of down.
He has new labs this Saturday, so we will know more then.

Wendy is doing well as far as the anemia and bleeding are concerned.  The
surgery took care of the problem, it seems.  But she is having a lot of
migraines and is dizzy a lot.  She is under a lot of pressure at work, so
this has not been a good semester so far.

I am feeling very good for the most part. My only real problem is fluid
retention, which has been bad since my foot surgery last year and got worse
with each surgery after that.  I am on two diazide a day now, and my right
ankle still balloons up at night.  I am also trying to get my business off
the ground, which is very difficult when you have limited energy.  But,
we're starting to see some real progress.  But hey, if anyone is Maryland
needs some financial advice, please consider dropping me a line.

That's about it - except that my brother is divorcing his psychotic wife so
she can stay in care, and my sister is getting married for the 3rd time -
and hopefully the last time.  I told this guy right up front that if I saw
any signs of abuse of any kind I was just going to step-in and take him
down - no waiting for Kathy to come to her senses this time.  I think he got
the message.  I hope it works for her.  After two abusive husbands and two
even worse boyfriends, she deserves a break.

Thanks for asking!

Oh, man, I would have LOVED to have seen that production of the wizard
of oz!  Sounds like the lip-stock is a lot of fun as well.   Good for
Amanda for getting so involved.   Those are things you never forget once
you are out of middleshscool/highschool!

Sounds like we need to really keep the prayers going for Micah and all
he is struggling with.   Will definitely pray that his labs turn around
and start looking better.   Poor kid has had to endure enough!

Sorry to hear that Wendy also continues to have such a difficult time.
Is it normal for migraines to cause dizziness, or is this from something
else?    Wow, that has got to be hard to deal with on top of a difficult
semester!!!

Has your doctor tried anything else besides dyazide for the water
retention?   Is lasix not a good choice for you?   That water retention
stuff can be a real bear to deal with.   Sure hope it'll clear up soon
for you Walt.

Thanks for the update Walt and know that prayers will continue for ALL
of you including your brother and sister and thier circumstances!

Hugs!

The DVD, priced at only $20, will be available ... <g>

That would be appreciated.  His Psychiatrist, Bishop (Church leader), and
Wendy and I have an intervention planned to a week from Sunday, so keep your
fingers crossed!

Yes.  She has basilar artery migraines, so there is usually a lot of
diziness and numbness, but no headache.  We had hoped they would subside
with menopause, but the opposite appears to be occuring now.

Yes, I was on HCTZ for years, but he doesn't like to use high doses of that.
It hits the electrolites too hard.

There isn't a site.  Some parents got together and taped it is all.  Nothing
worth paying for, I'm sure.
