no, but i have a brand new (labels still on) pair of gloria vanderbilt
jeans, light blue, size 12, that i got from freecycle that don't fit. i
swear, though, they're a really small size 12! so if any of you wear a
small size 12 short , i'd be happy to send them to you.

Diane freecycle is for giving things away -- not for
picking things up. rofl
Duckie who is planning on picking things up when we get
to CA

i know, duckie. this is my first pick-up, but i like GV jeans and they
were a few blocks from my house, so. . .

the woman who freecycled them also claims to be a size 12 and they
didn't fit her either. debbie M. from asa has now asked for them. i
told her these jeans are like the glass slipper. . . good luck.

and duckie, i've somehow missed something in a big way. you're moving
to CA? where? when?

Before next winter; as soon as the house sells and we
find another; somewhere between Burlingame [south of
SF] and Palo Alto. I told John that I had put up with
this snow for 34 years and now it was my time to live
some place I could enjoy. He is not happy but he is
coming with me. Told him I was going with or without
him so guess he still loves me.  rofl
We need a big guest room as I am expecting folks will
want to visit that warm sunny climate. :)  And storage,
we need lots of storage. All the books and stuff we are
still keeping... BTW, picked up your new one last night
at Barnes and Noble. Last one on the shelf.

wonderful idea to move to that area, duckie (except for the housing
prices--yikes!)

prices are bad. Even if we sell this house for 600K, we
will still need to add 200K and that is down sizing
which has been our plan all along. But still...
I always enjoy your books. :)

Rhonda -- I'm 5'3" and these pants have been shortened
to fit me. Do you need crop pants?

I love thrift stores. We have three big ones near where I live. And
since I'm losing weight now I'm not shopping for clothes in regular
stores at all. I am just going to buy what I need to get me by at the
thrift stores and when I'm done with that size, I'll donate it back to
them :)

Hugsies,
Carole :)

Us too!  well, not so much on the weight loss front  :(, but we love the
local thrift stores.  We have some good ones around here, even with the small
population.  I guess it fits in well with the isolation, we recycle many
things within the community.  I found myself a lambskin jacket for $3 last
fall!  Mike got a winter coat appropriate for graveside services for $6 and
so on.......  We keep looking for furniture, but rarely see anything we want
to own.  May yet have to buy some new when we have more $$$$

I've seen a few pieces in the Salvation Army store that I would have
liked to have had, but I have no way of getting them home. By the time I
call someone to go get it and deliver it, the cost would be too much. I
need to find a cute, rich studmuffin who has a pick up truck and muscles :)

Carole :)
