There is no one at the University of Michigan Health Center by her name. In
fact, she isn't even in their database as a former patient. So, we need to
look elsewhere!

I did some research and found that the only other hospital listed was
St. Joseph. I called there and she was not there. The woman even
checked another data base of patients and no luck. I don't know what
else we can do.

Thanks for trying, Walt! At least she's been found and we don't have to
worry anymore.

Hmmmmm..................that's rather interesting considering that that
is where I had my bronchoscopy on the 9th and then ended up being
admitted with the flare up of my asthma afterwards! I have been
admitted there at least 20 or so times, so not sure why they would say I
wasn't in their database!!!
Thanks, Walt, though for trying and for taking the time to make a long
distance phone call!
Hugs!

Hi Everyone!
Here I am back at my own apartment and still working on recovering from
everything!
Sorry I went missing in action for so long and then couldn't respond to
your phone calls, but have been having a terrible time with my hearing
in both ears with some pretty nasty ear infections. I have gotten some
of my hearing back, but still have a long ways to go yet, especially in
my one ear. I have another week or two yet of the stronger oral
antibiotic and the antibiotic ear drops, so hopefully the hearing will
continue to improve!!!
For those that were wondering, ALL of my doctors are at St Joseph Mercy
hospital, with the exception of my lung doctor who is at the U of M
(university of michigan). I have been admitted at both places many
times, but most times it is usually at St. Joes as it is only a mile or
so from my apartment.
Still waiting on results of the biopsies and such from the bronchoscopy
done on the 9th. The lung stuff seems to be s-l-o-w-l-y improving and
I am finally able to sleep at least a few hours every night laying down
instead of sitting up all the time. The coughing has continued, but
not quite as bad as it was there for awhile!
Overall, I think things may finally be on the upswing (at least I hope
so!). So I am happy about that. Have tentatively scheduled my
wrist/hand surgery for April 21st. The ortho will do a standard carpal
tunnel release as well as going up a bit higher into the wrist to clean
out the inflammation from around the tendon sheaths. He will then
inject my elbow with two injections of steroids and hopefully that will
take care of all the pain and numbness that has been causing me to drop
things and break them. He said we should be able to tell within 3-4
months whether or not the elbow itself will also need surgery. I am
praying it won't!
Am thinking I am going to have to call the RD pretty soon as being off
all my RA meds has really left me hurting big time!!! Sure hope the
lung biopsies come back ok so I can get back on all my meds! I'm not
suppposed to see the RD until the end of march, but don't know that Im
going to be able to wait that long---in far to much pain right now to
wait until then! We'll see.
I will try to pop into the group from time to time to say hi and let you
all know that I am still around, but probably won't be around on any
regular basis for awhile yet! Just not quite feeling up to it yet!
I'm just sick to hear of the loss of another one of our very dear ASA
family members and don't even know what to say! Brings tears to my
eyes every time I think of her being gone!!! Donnah was a real sister
to all and her absence will definitely be felt for a very long time!!!
As always, though, know that I am lifting you all in prayer and keeping
you in my thoughts and close to my heart!!! Praying for many a
painfree day for each and every one of you.
God Bless!

Thank you so much for the update. You have so many things going on,,,, it
makes my head spin. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. I was
just putting a new side light for the driveway and thought about Donna G
with a prayer as I connected wires and such. God hears our thoughts and
anyplace is a good place for prayer and good thoughts for someone that is
being worried over. May you continue to improve.
