Has anyone else had trouble with Mobic.

I was having touble with palpatations and went to this group to see if
anyone else was having problems.  A lady on here was saying she had
problems with feeling of swollen tounge or something.  I gave up
taking mobic a month ago and my problem ceased.  Only after I went to
my doctor about palpatations and went through stress test at the
hospital.

I'll never take anything but ibuprofen for my knee pain again.

I've been taking mobic for two years now and have not had any problems with
it.
Just like any meds it effects everyone differently.  It has been a lifesaver
for me.

ayup.  i was the lady whose throat and tongue swelled and was told to stop
taking them immediately, which caused a reversal of what was occurring.  no
palpatations, however.  are you taking glucosamine/chrondroitin for your
knee?  it can take up to a couple of months for it to kick in, but you might
find that very helpful and it just might liberate you from ibruprophen.

I'll second the glucosamine/chondroitin. I have knee issues from
chondromalacia (fraying or the cartilage - had arthroscopy already.). Gl/Ch
has been a lifesaver. I used to be in pain with every step, especially when
the weather changed. The pain is considerably less, and most days I don't
have any pain at all.

helps alot.

I had a headache within 4-5 hours of taking it...and it didn't go away for a
week.  I called my RD and traded it in for Arthrotec (Arthrotec
complications needs a post of its own ;) ).  Within a day my headache went
away.  No heart related problems unless my headaches were due to something
cardiac.

Not my heart but it made me a little queasy and didn't work for me anyhow.

At least AFAIK it wasn't anything cardiac related.

There was a story in Saturday's newspaper.
We discussed it at our AS meeting that morning.
You can probably Google "mobic" or go to the
FDA's web page for information.
