she's hanging in there. had and has some problems and stayed with her

her mail for her. --kate
i think this part is ok to post from her---
"Hope all is well with everyone in ASA. Please tell them all I said hello
and am sending them all my love and prayers!!! Hope everyone is doing ok
and that those that were struggling are doing better. I miss my ASA family
and will be back as soon as I get to feeling a bit better. Right now I
just don't have the energy to be online.
In any case, have been thinking of you and missing you. My best friend has
been taking care of my mail and writing down my phone messages, and then she
emails me at my hotmail address, so I know you called the other day. Miss
chatting on the phone with you!!! Hopefully I can do that with you soon!
Say some prayers that this darn hearing issue clears itself up.
Hugs to you and to all my friends!!! You too Kate!
Will drop you a line as soon as I get back to my own place and back on my
webtv.
Love ya,
Donna G"
i'm waiting for her permission to post more.

Thank you, Kate!!! I'm so glad to hear that she's at least at her
brother's house instead of the hospital.
Now we can breathe a sigh of relief.

annnnnd howwwww!!!! i sat and cried with relief, when i saw her email
message. i think it would be a relief for all of us if donnag gives one of
us her brother's phone number, just for her prolonged silences when we feel
like something is amiss and need to know she's ok. maybe, she'd give you
that number, carol? i haven't asked her yet, but i think you're closest to
her.

yes, thank you very much. i just tried to get her at the hospital and
was a concerned fella about her situation. My heart is already quite
broken from the loss of one very special donna this week. I am so
relieved to know our beautiful donna G is improving.

ok. donnag gave me permission to post more. she's just a little concerned
someone might think she was whining. geesh, she's probably one of the last
people i'd think was whining! ---kate
anyway, here's what had been going on with our donnag---
"I am doing ok. Sorry I have been missing in action for so long, but life
has been a little bumpy since the first of the year. I did have my
bronchoscopy done on the 9th, and as I expected, it set up a 2-3 day flare
of my asthma, so back to the hospital it was! I am doing better as far as
the breathing goes, although still coughing a fair amount. I also had
developed double ear infections just a few days before the bronchoscopy and
last weekend the ears started draining blood and I literally could not hear
anything over the phone. Well, that kind of freaked me out a bit as I have
never had my ears drain blood before. Back to the ER and then to see the
ENT specialist. Despite being on antibiotics, both ears had gotten worse, so
a change to a stronger oral antibiotic as well as adding in antibiotic ear
drops 2-3 times a day. I still can't hear much at all and that bothers me,
but the ENT seems pretty confident that I will regain all of my hearing once
the infections are better under control. I sure hope he is right!!! He
said it is a good thing I have the tubes in my ears, or I probably would
have ruptured both ear drums. Al I know is that I can't hear and that the
stuff draining from my ears is pretty nasty. Still not sleeping well
between the coughing and the ears hurting/draining, etc. Ended up coming
to my brother and sister in laws just to have someone who could help
interpret things for me since I can't hear anything. It really is pretty
freaky to not be able to hear things going on around you! Anyways, if that
wasn't enough, I have been having so much trouble with pain in my left
hand/wrist and have dropped several things due to the pain and numbness that
seems to follow. Saw the orthopedic guy again and he said the same thing
he said in october. I need surgery in both the wrist and the elbow. The
longer I wait, the more damage I am allowing to happen in/to the nerves.
Yikes---guess that will be my next thing, but not until I can get a better
grasp on this lung stuff. Still no word on the biopsies they took from my
lungs. All the lung doctor has told me thus far was that when he did the
bronch there was tons of inflammation throughout! Still waiting to see if
I can go back on my RA meds and really starting to hurt big time!!!"
<snipping redundancies>
"Hope to be able to hear well enough in the next couple of days to be able
to
go back to my own apartment and function on my own!!!
Sorry you haven't heard from me before this, but I just haven't been feeling
well at all and haven't been online at all either. I am using my sister in
laws computer to type this little update as it is."

thank you so much for letting us know Kate. And please tell Donna she is
always in my prayers. I won't add any emails of my own to her box as I want
her to just rest, but I am thinking about her and hope that she will be
better soon.

I somehow missed this thread. I ran across it when I was looking through
Google groups for a particular post and came across this thread.
Donna, I'm so glad you're back.
Continue to take it easy (probably the only way you can take it) and I
pray for complete recovery of your hearing.
