We are a graduate student group at Carnegie Mellon University doing some
research on a new product that is intended to help individuals live more
independently by automating certain household tasks. The ideas came from one
of the students in the group whose mother has severe rheumatoid arthritis
but still manages to live alone.
As one part of our research, we are trying to reach out to a broad audience
via an online survey. It is available for you to view at:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=42228851611
It is only 13 multiple choice questions, takes less than 5 minutes to
complete, is completely confidential, and the results so-far will be shared
with the participant immediately upon completion.
Depending on the outcome of this survey and our other research, we may start
commercial development of the types of products discussed in the survey.
Thank you. Opinions like yours will make an impact in our research outcomes
and possibly lead to new innovations.
Thank you,

So what's the going rate for all this R&D info then?
Do participants get any copyright interests? Or maybe a
share of the profits? A seat on the BOD of the company that
will be selling this thing? Share options maybe?
And what other "information" will you be collecting?
Even more interesting, do you have permission to post using
the CM name as a validator for what you are doing?
You may want to check these details before proceding. :\
