Been fighting a migraine since yesterday but woke up today with flu symptoms
as well.  Went back to bed around 9:30 and slept/napped until nearly 2.  The
headache feels better but my stomach - ugh.  At least I'm back to one thing
to deal with.  Of course the flu isn't helping my joints at all and, to
whine a bit,  the Synvisc is definately wearing off.  A month ago it was
just one knee going back to the usual pain but now the other one has joined
in.  Stairs are becoming difficult again so I won't be able to wait until
the spring after all.  Ah well, there are many ways it could be worse.

So I'm home today, wrapped in warm clothes with the cat curled up with me.
Huh, curled up is wishful thinking ;)   What she does is take up as much
space as possible while still maintaining full body contact.  Right now she
is lying on her back, along the front of the keyboard as I type,  her head
jammed into my elbow, all four feet in the air and her tail on the keyboard.
Pretty cute actually.  The fur in the keyboard is another story.  :-)

I just discovered my laptop keyboard pops out so I can
actually clean under it. Fur just love to disappear
between and under those keys.
Feel better soon.

Thank you!

Funny how I can sleep so much during the day - now it's time for bed and I'm
wide awake!

I have had steroid insomnia for a couple weeks now.....

What's sleep?  Is it that thingy you do with your eyes shut at night time?

LOL

There are always those entertaining infomercials on late night TV....I hear
they cure insomnia!

The ones for hunting knife "collectors" that show at 2am don't help my
insomnia a bit.  One of the bright sides of being deaf.  The light from the
TV doesn't bother me or Charlie.  So if I can't sleep I just watch it with
the sound off so it won't bother him.  If he can't sleep I can't hear it
anyway as I take my hearing aid out at night.

I've been where you are from asthma.  To wired from steroids to close my
eyes.  Every nerve vibrating.  And too exhausted to move.  Its a rotten
combination.

Sending prayers and purrs for relaxing days and restful nights ahead.

I could sleep all day but as soon as it gets dark, I cant sleep. Wish I knew
what the problem was.  My husband says I am like we used to say about babies
who didnt sleep at night, and that was that they had their days and nights
mixed up. Maybe thats my problem???

Oh no,,,, its my turn.    It is the same as last time with shortness of
breath, congestion,,, and noooo fever.  I have coughed until the muscles in
my stomach are really really sore.   Every cough now has a great deal of
pain that goes along with it.   I did do one thing right.   I went to my
family doctor right away because it was time for my type 2 diabetes check up
anyway....  Woohooo my reading was 94.   No one was more suprised than me.
When I told the doctor about my lungs and throat,, he nods has head and
says, I can hear it and we are going to do something about it.    Wham,,,,,
shot in the butt with anti-biotics and two prescription of more of the same.
Biaxin and Tussizone and I am already taking   Isoniazid for TB.    I can
not remember the last time I took any kind of anti-bio.   With all this
going on,,,, a question to the group,,,,, should I put off me Enbrel shot???
What do yo think?

Harv, I think I'd skip at least one injection and give the abx time to do
their stuff. If you're not feeling markedly better in a few days, skip the
next one, too.

I hope you're feeling much better really soon.

Thank you Kelly and I am thinking the same thing.   I have no doubt that I
will be able to tell when I have gone too lone without the Enbrel.

Hate to say it, but I would too.  I know you need that Enbrel, but we need
you well even more.

I agree, skip one injection and see how it goes. If a chest infection
is bad enough to treat with antibiotics, you should regard it with the
same concern as your GP.

How does your body cope with other minor infections ?

Get well soon.

Hi Peter,,,   Pretty good as a rule.   The problem is that this is my second
round of this for me this year which might mean that it never really cleaned
up after the first bout and is coming back.  I did not waste any time
getting my doctor help this time.  I think I will put off my weekly
injection of Enbrel until I feel my RA coming back and then its the shot and
deal with my lungs the best I can.

My SIL calls me a vampire. :) But he still loves me.
His mother is in bed every night by 8pm. If I did that,
I would be awake by midnight for the rest of the night.

I hope your migraine and flu symptoms are under control by now. I am sorry
to hear that it was your turn now.

I hope the knees are doing better now and behaving.

Look at it this way, the fur keeps your keyboard warm so that it doesn't
feel like you are touching ice on cold days. :-)

Love and hugs to all
Good thoughts coming your way too.
