Sorry Diane I don't know anything about probiotics but if you have
pictures on this topic I'm interested.

I saw the note but have no idea about the brand. I take
something called Culturell [sp] which I buy over the
counter from my drug store. Works well for me.

Let's see if our news server is working today...

I buy one called Primadophilus that's enteric coated.  Failing that,
I get one made by NOW vitamins called "8 Billion Acidophilus and
Bifidus."  You want the Bifidus in there, because acidophilus alone
isn't enough to help repopulate the gut.  I tend to take these like
candy when I'm on a broad-spectrum antibiotic to stay ahead of the
runs.  I generally take two capsules between each antibiotic dose,
and two with each dose.  And if I start having gut problems, I take
another dose.  It's kept me from coming down with nasty secondary
problems (and since I'm on percocet and a couple other drugs that
slow down gut motility, I'm at a higher risk for C. difficle).  My
husband isn't quite so good about remembering to take the capsules
when he's on antibiotics and will start to get the runs, then ask
me if we still have a bottle in the fridge.  And after a couple
doses, things get better for him.  These are probably overkill for
a normal person, but none of us are in that category anymore...
