Lisa mentions her disappointment with one of Americas top 100.
I have one of Canada's good Rheumy's. She's now in the practice full time after a term as Pres of Canadian Society of Rheumy's.  She's down to earth yet very professional (in a Martha kind of way). She is also kind and goes to the wall for her patients.
My problem is she recently moved a private practice into The Nova Scotia Sports Medicine Centre.  Two benefits are onsite physio and referrals to Ortho's in the practice within a week.  On the other hand the most important part of her private practice was the personal attention, the terrific office staff who would do anything within reason and a cozy comfortable surrounding.  The old staff are gone, we have a herd of temps staffing the phones and a group of other offices support staff you never see.  The office is big and impersonal.  Same doctor great care but very uncomfortable going there.  I'm wondering if I should stay or ask to see her at the Hosp Rheum Clinic.  It's sterile but many of them went through the doc's office on their way to the Clinic?
Thoughts?

If I found a doc like that I'd fly to Sri Lanka to see her if that's
what it took...In the end it's the doctor who counts, not the office
staff. Just my .02 cents (which is maybe worth a bit more in Canada
:0).

Bruce,

I am glad you got a dr that goes to the wall for her patiences. i also have
one like that in my pcp. Too bad though that she told me they have done all
they can for me now and that it is up to the specialists now.

Love and hugs to all
