Well I made it to my appointment, the doctor said I can no longer take
bextra or any anti-inflammatory since my creatine level is high and the
urine test showed that my kidneys are leaking protein, he said he is n't
sure why though since I have not had any problems before.
He is sending me to a neurologist (sp) to look over my MRI, it came back
slightly abnormal to rule out MS since he wanted me to start enbrel.
He didn't really say what to do about the kidney issue, I have another urine
and blood test on Wed to see if it is still high, the numbness in my leg has
never disappeared.
Very discouraging I am finally taking the mTX at 12.5 and it was starting to
work with the bextra and he said if the levels are still high on Wed I can't
take the MTX on Saturday. I take the ins drug for TB and asked if it could
be doing this but the TB doc said no, it effects the liver and those tests
are fine, thank goodness.
Well don't mean to whine just frustrated and wondered if anyone else has had
kidney problems and if so what the solution was.
I am taking milk thisltes for the liver wonder if it can help the kidneys?
Thanks for letting me vent.

Thanks Harv,
How are you doing with the TB meds?  Hope that things are going well for
you.  I just got an article off the web on Milk Thistle says it might help a
little but that is not mainly what it is for.
Thanks for the response

Hi Becky,    The TB meds are doing just fine and so am I.     As it happens
so many times with DMARDs for RA, we blame our medicine for how we feel when
it can be something else that fools us.   About the same time that I started
that medicine,  I came down with the Euro-crud from my daughters visit
(walking phewwwmonia) or a bad virus without fever.  A PERSON IS SUPPOSE TO
HAVE FEVER WHEN THEY ARE SICK  or so I thought.   You are going to think
this is strange but I am going to ask the Pulmo-guy if he thinks we should
add another one of the medicines used to cure TB.   If they find signs of it
being active in your lungs,,, you get four different medicines.  I do not
have those signs but I want this stuff  KILLED.  :-)
Harv

Ps   You?

Hey Harv.

If I am correct your daughter came over from Leeds ? Euro crud seems to
have been fairly widespread here this winter (though I haven't heard it
called that before.

Some nasty viruses have been around. My wife and I caught one (a cold?)
from our neighbour who came visting on New Year's Eve and have only
just got over it and the secondary buigs that came with it.
Get well soon

Hi Peter,,,,  Oooh, I am sorry for my name for what my daughter always
brings us.... always.
Ya know,  It could be from her plane ride come to think of it.   It is
possible that this will happen just one more time until she gets her
doctors.   Now she is very interested in another professor/doctor that is
full time and published books of poetry and if his job goes through at
Cambridge,,,, she may not come home for a long long time and then when she
does it will be with a guy that has a great deal to learn about Texas.
LOLOLOL  Life is good and for the young or young at heart....
So it goes.

(((((((((((becky)))))))))))))))  gee, i don't know the answer to your
question, but i do know that celebrex threw my kidney labs off (carol
delcorso's too) and for me it cleared up awhile after i stopped taking it.
so, maybe just stopping the bextra will do the trick for you, too.  i sure
hope it does, hon.
