I remember vaguely our conversations about cox2 inhibitors after vioxx and the Celebrex rumblings.  I do not take any.  My mother however was given a script for Mobicox on Fri,  She is currently on warfrin after clots in both legs while on Vioxx.  Any thoughts.

does your mom have a clotting issue or was the clots caused by the vioxx?

all nsaids inhibit cox 2... the older ones also inhibit cox 1 which is the
enzyme that protects the stomach.

Mobic isn't technically classified a cox 2.

Since nsaids thin blood also (some more than others) can your mom take them
along with the Warfarin (coumadin)?
