My Doctor is now wanting to give me injections of MTX instead of oral. I
had been taken off of the oral due to stomach problems. Is anyone taking
it by injections and if so what are the side effects and results. Please
help me with this.

I have been on mtx injections for years. The mtx is more effective
and there are less side effects. Go for it. You can give them to
yourself it is easy have your Nurse teach you. -- MZ

I switched to injections for the same reason. The stomach problems
ceased as soon as I switched.
BUT....I can no longer get MTX injectable due to the shortage and had
to go back to oral. The stomach thing is back...but I feel better
with MTX than without.

I give myself the injections once a week. I have noticed no side effects at
all, where the oral made me so sick I couldn't keep it down.

been on the shot for about 1 yr now, I do so much better on it than the
pill. I had to stop the pill for the same reason, and it seems now that I
get more of the benefits on it thatn before. I say try it!
just keep up on your blood work like you should. it will be fine

I've been on weekly injections for years and have had no problems. Giving
yourself injections isn't as hard as it seems. Truthfully I get my wife to
do it for me, at least that way I am sure to behave at least on day a week!
