Hi everyone...first of all i'm typing with one hand, so just ignore the
mistakes.
got home late last night...ended up having to open thr shoulder up..not bad,
only about 3 inches. torn rotator cuff that he needed more space to get to,
took off the bone spurs, and had to clean the ragged cartilage up. so, a
little more than we wanted, but could have been much worse. i'm in a sling,
with a medicine ball attached to the incision, and have to keep the arm
close to the body for 3 weeks. i can shower after 1 week, until then it's
the o'l sink bath for me...lol.
in a bit of pain, but have good medications for that, so i'll be okay.
thanks to everyone who sent their prayers and good vibes....i felt them
all, and appreciated every one of them.
i probably wont be on much for a few days or so, but i'll be back as soon as
i can.
(((((hugs to you al)))))

rest and heal quickly Pic. It's good to hear that he was able to do so much,
hopefully it will help you a lot. And where else do they understand that a 3
inch incision isn't bad?

((((((((((((((((((pic)))))))))))))))))) way to go, girl! sounds like your
surgeon was very thorough and that's good. 3 inches is a good sign,
actually. if it were worse, it would have been a larger incision. PAT's
aren't so bad---make you appreciate showers, bathtubs and the love of your
spouse more, especially if he is wearing a clothespin.<veg>
now that the messy stuff is overwith, you take your time healing, sweetie.
don't rush it and gets lots of healing rest. we'll still be here.<smile>
(as if anybody *could* get rid of any of us.LOL)
sending healing thoughts and prayers for a speedy and complete recovery.

Pic, was your medicine way down in the shoulder? When the ball was empty
and my DIL pulled it out, it was on a very long line. It worked. I didn't
have any pain after the first couple of days until I started PT after two
weeks.

Good to see you Pic. Sounds like you will be out of
commission for a bit but will be well worth it in the
long run.
