I hope I didn't post this already if I did, forgive me please.
I have been under so much stress lately.

I don't know if you remember Debbie H, and how she used to post for me. Last
night we were sure she was not going to come walking out of the hospital
again. She is doing much better today  thanks to prayers for her from many
people. But she is like a sister to me and I was going to pieces last night.
Donna G, I know you and some others can understand. She suffers from COPD,
empheysema, CHF, and then pnemonia added on top. She has so many other
issues too, FMS, OA, dercums, etc. So that is why I cant remember if I
posted this below already or not.

I wanted to let you all know how it went.

Well she is sending me to an asthma clinic specialist. Whatever that is. I
need help to get the asthma under control.

She sent over the referral to the endo, dermatology, and the asthma clinic.
Also refilled alot of my meds. Gave me singular to try for the asthma. Gave
me diflucin for the yeastie beastie.

I am being sent to the dermatologist for as she called it, the nastiest
looking wart I have seen if it really is a wart. Also they called today and
I am now scheduled for another appt next week with them for the warty
thingy, and the psosariasis (sp)

She ran alot of blood work for pituatary gland, thyroid, and hormonal
levels. We need to figure out is this peri-menopause, I Hope I hope, or the
thyroid fooling us.

She said I get a prize for the most specialists in the shortest time period.
;-0
So next time I go in I am going to ask here if I can frequent dr visit
points. ;-)

She thinks it is Multi-Modular Goiter and Hashimotos. But we will see what
the blood tests show, and what the endo says. She also said I will probably
have to have biopsy done since one in the right side and one in left side
are really big. Infact the left one seems to be growing really fast. It is
larger now than when I first saw her about the supposed swollen glands.

Have another virus again.

Oh yeah, can you believe this, hold on to your seats. She asked me if I was
running a fever. I said yes for me. My temp then was 98.2. She said I
thought you were, it looked like it was up some for me. Can you believe
that, a dr that finally believes me when I say at low temps I am running a
fever. My normal fever is around 95.8-96.2

Later on we will probably be doing some research about what is causing my
yeastie beasties. No antib's or steroids this time. She was not too happy
about that one. Can you blame her, neither was I.

Oh an MM I forgot what we decided to call it, about the horizons so I have
to go back to the way I said it to you. I am spreading myself around. I have
graduated from the Kaiser in Manteca, and in Stockton to the one in Modesto.
I already have all these friends at the Manteca and Stockton one so now I
will have a chance to meet new friends at the Modesto one too. ;-)

Oh yeah and it looks like I will be spending more time in radiology too. I
was telling her how they all knew me and I knew them so well. She said well
I think you are going to really get to know them even better. ;-(

What I thought was going to be a five minute appt turned into her spending
about an 1 hr with me. She was already running about an hour behind.

I am not happy about Hashimotos though because if it is for sure, then I
could have given it to the boys. I don't like that part. They already have
enough of my problems also.

I think this appt was a really good one. ;-)

That was a fabulous appointment. Have the appointments
be set yet? Interested to see what the Endo thinks. I
hate waiting for appointments when you need answers but
you are getting closer than you have been in years and
that is a good thing. :)

Very busy indeed, but it is so good to know you finally have a doctor who is
truly working on finding out what is going on.   I so hope this busy week
ahead holds more answers than questions and more effective therapies for you.

Thank you Skip, Duckie and Nann, and anyone else I might have missed.

I have decided I don't want to go to the appts next week. I have heard
enough already. I don't want to go there.

I found out when you ask you shall receive. I asked to find an answer.
Someone heard me but he must have missed the an answer part. I don't want
anymore answers. I am chicken $$$$ and am now running away from the body.
LOL

Also I need to ask if I could be bumped up in the return line. Does three
diagnosis in one week get me to the front of the line so I can dump them and
several more that I had before and don't want anymore so I can get down to
the three diagnosis limit. Please can I cut in line, I have chocolate.

I do love you all and am praying and sending good thoughts to each and
everyone on this group. I have missed being here and offering my support. I
miss you all. I am going to try to get here this weekend if the storms
behave themselves and my puter behaves itself and if Duckie behaves herself,
whoops I better go before I get myself in some real trouble.

We'll your getting to them.  I went to se my GP today with appt. card in
hand and my name was not the one for that time in the computer.  In fact I
was nowhere to be found.  Well if you know me it's not hard to find me I'm
big and loud.  The gang at the office are great but a new person tried to
give me an appt for two weeks away.  I got loud, just then my GP a very
dapper but meek man came out.  HE e looked at the computer screen for
tomorrow and is seeing me after giving travel vaccines, only 5 of 15 mins so
I get the other 10 and I intend to keep him busy.
I may just grab a few of those appt. cards and start writing times I want in
them knowing I'll score an opening next day.

I have a peel my derm gave me for around my eyes, it's upstairs I'll try and
remember to get the name

LOL when I got home from my first visit to my new RD, I went to write the
next appointment on the calendar.  Hmmmm, date on the card was a Monday and
he only sees patients over in Rogers City on Wednesday.  So I called and sure
enough, wrong date written down.  It really would have ticked me off to show
up at the Rogers City office to find he was in Petoskey that day!

Charlie was supposed to be at a Dr. appointment at 2:45 today.  I knew he
was going to forget it, even though he never does.  But he was out running
around and forgot to take his cell phone (as usual) so I couldn't remind
him.

You know it.  He forgot.  At least for once the "I forgot where I was going"
phone call he had to make was for him for once, not for me.

Maybe there is a profit to be made for "wake up" calls for the slightly
older.  More like 30 minutes ahead.  24 hours is too much notice.

And this is why I avoid Monday appointments.  Like I'm going to remember the
reminder call from Friday.

so maybe there needs to be something with an alarm that would could be set
for a certain length of time before an appointment, then you have a screen
which would tell you what the alarm was for.  Of course you still have the
problem of remembering to take whatever has the alarm along with you!

It is called a palm pilot. And it fits into my purse. I
can set the alarm to go off anywhere from 5 minutes to
days..  It has a calendar, notepad where I keep
medications and their doses written, all my address and
phone numbers and games. Oh and there are the books.
Found that you could load books on them from Rev. Sue
-- she mentioned her bible being on it. Bit eye opener.
I am in the middle of a mystery by L. Barnes called The
Big Dig. Recommend it highly especially for Boston people.
And to think I didn't want one when John asked me about
it... hehehe

we have an early Palm, can't upgrade it and it won't hold the whole Bible -
we tried.

Is the mystery really set in THE big dig?  Gotta get a hold of it.

about missing dirt and then there is this missing woman
who left her dog
It's good.

I can't function without my pda.  It's got everything on it and is backed up
DAILY on my hard drive here at home.  Heaven help us all if it ever gets
lost.

But that is the beauty of it. Lose the PDA and it is
still backed up on the computer. In the old days, if I
had lost my address/phone/calendar book, they would
have just had to shoot me.

After I sent that last post, I remembered the era when doctors'
offices were closed Wednesday and opened Saturday.  Today
they're open Monday - Friday and the poor working slobs....er....
working class.... has to take time off from work for appointments.

Seem no one but doctors could schedule a tee time at the local
golf courses.  That was a standing joke in those days.

My PCP's office here is open a half day on Saturday.  They also have a
walk-in clinic for immediate problems, like the flu, etc.  They are a huge
practice though with assorted specialties so they can rotate duties around.
PCP and his nurse are both keepers - got my husband going to the same doc in
fact.
