AWWWW Carol....how sweet of you to think of me, especially after having your
own surgery to deal with.  I appreciate it so much, and thanks to everyone
else too.  Now I know it will be and easier time with all of you behind
me......woo hooo....how could I lose?
Just now woke up in a sweat, not really scared of surgery anymore, just
anxious I guess....
Hope things are going well for you now....that is quite a surgery you had,"
my pin and plate buddy"....hope you have a great recovery so you can get
back on those meds.
I've been off my antiinflammatory for a week now.....it's like "whoever
thought of this stuff sure didnt have what we have"......oh well, it's just
for a few, and when I'm better, I get to start Arava with the Enbrel for a
little kicker...I've heard about the nice side effects, and am hoping I'll
be one of the lucky ones and not have to live in my bathroom...lol.
Thanks again Carol, and all!!!!  Much appreciated.

Prayers and well wishes for a most successful surgery and a speedy and
complication free recovery for you Pic!

What type of surgery are you having done on the shoulder?
Arthroscopic?  Shoulder replacement?    Fill us in!

Also praying that once you are able to, that your return to your meds
will kick in quickly and ease the pain quickly.

Hugs!

Thank you so much Donna.....hope things are getting better for you too!!!
I have some bone spurs that are cutting into the muscles and whatnot, the
rotator cuff and it has a tear in it....hopefully he can do arthroscopic,
but won't know till he gets in there....the shoulder is bone on bone, but
that isn't giving me any trouble yet, so decided to let it go for awhile.
Won't know till I wake up whether he had to do an incision or not.....that's
a rude awakening...lol.
Hopefully can start back on my meds on Tuesday, then I'm supposed to wait a
week and then add the Arava in the mix., I'm hoping that's the kick the
enbrel needs right now.
You take care of yourself, and get well really soon....and hopefully you are
resting better!
Prayers and well wishes for you too!

maybe - we'll be in Gainesville visiting my mom at the beginning of the month
and I haven't decided for sure that I can make it back down again at the end
of the month.  But I maybe could drive myself and save a few bucks and maybe
camp a little on the way.   :)  Now that the Portland Gimpfest is probably
out for me, I need to go somewhere to get a Gimp fix!

Sending prayers and vibes for an arthroscopic fix!

You go girl. Guess I didn't know your shoulder had
given up on you. I am having my toe operated on on
Monday. He said I could drive home so no where near as
hard to undergo but still nervous.
So how long will you be out of commission and how long
is your rehab. Prayers on the way.

Duckie, BTDT and it wasn't bad at all; if you follow instructions when you
get home it shouldn't give you any trouble.

Hey Duckie.....this shoulder has been going for a very long time, but as
most of us do....hold off as long as we can stand it.
Not sure how long I'll be out of commission, won't know until I wake up what
he had to do....I'm holding on to the arthroscopic, but wouldn't place any
bets on it...lol.  If he has to open it up, it will probably be  4 weeks or
so.....As far as therapy...I always keep it moving even in a cast, or
whatever he puts it in this time....seems to help as soon as it comes off,
it's ready to go....Sorry to hear about your toe...that can't be any fun.
I sure appreciate all the prayers and thoughts from everyone on this
site......Makes it easier to go in there tomorrow knowing that I have all of
you behind me...I believe I'm one  lucky gal.......thanks Duckie.....and to
all of you!

But you're almost over the TKR!  What are they doing to your toe?

The ingrown toenails that I have been dealing with just
forever are now a problem since the knee as I have to
medicate just to have someone clip away at them once a
month. So last time I was in, Dr. Tuck -- yes really --
said let's just fix this permanently. So I am medicated
and today he cut left and right of both big toenails.
The outside of the left one decided to first not take
the Novocain and then to bleed like a face cut
afterward. It is still throbbing but that is the only
place. Two big toes bandaged and orders to soak twice a
day for a week. This had better be worth it. Sent my BP
to 155/98. Nothing like stress.
I have been off the Arava for over a week and another
week to wait. Sure hope that antibiotic does it's job.
Oh, I decided to have this done now as the doctor said
I couldn't dance for a week. Since the knee wasn't
letting me anyway, decided to fix them as soon as possible.
Has anyone heard from Pic yet?
