  Newsgroups still not working on AOL. I doubt I'll be able to see this. But,
I got wind of the 'rumor' that newsgroups were going to be discontinued on AOL.
AOL is notorious for not responding to their customers. But, newsgroups are all
I still use on AOL and I was bigtime ticked off. So, I wrote to every address I
could think of and really lambasted them for their poor service. For the first
time in 11 years, not only did someone write back, but, THREE people did LOL.
Anyway, according to all 3, newsgroups are not going to be discontinued and
they are aware of the system problem we're having right now. They're working on
a fix. Following is one of the emails. (p.s. Life has been really hard lately.
I miss and love you all...Pray for you daily...Hoping I'll be able to come back
soon.)

*AOL does not have any plan of discontinuing the AOL Newsgroup service.*

this report and take action against the members responsible if the activity
shows a violation of AOL's Terms of Service. Our options include both written

employee access in order to safeguard your personal information. Whenever we
communicate with Members, we will do so by Official AOL Mail only. We do not
communicate with our members via message boards or newsgroups.

Official AOL Mail contains important information for AOL Members. This
correspondence is formatted to help you easily identify e-mail that has been
sent by AOL.

Official AOL Mail has three important attributes, all of which must be present:

   1. A blue envelope in your online mailbox
   2. A dark blue border around the body of the mail message
   3. An Official AOL Mail seal in the upper or lower left corner of the mail

*However, currently there is an on going system difficulties on AOL Newsgroup.*

popular features may temporarily be unavailable. This is often a result of
