Kate:
Aim,
I hope you don't mind I read this, and am posting to you.
Would you know of any good specialists I may be able to go see?
I live in West Virginia. I see a Neuro. in Cumberland,Maryland. They
havn't found anything yet with me. I hurt all the time. I hurt a lot
in my lower to upper back and shoulders. I have pain in my hips,
knees, hands, and legs, {some in legs}. I have been through MRIs and CT
scans. I turned 31 on the 10th, this month. They act like they all
think its not possible for me to be in this much pain, at my age, but
they don't have any idea of what I've been through.
I know I've have things fracture, if not worse that has happened to
me, and I don't know where to turn to get the help that I feel I
need. I am on medicines to try to help me with pain, but I've had such
bad chronic pain for sooo long that my body feels as though its immune
to what I'm on. I did the PT thing 4 a while, but I have 3 kids, an
addition to our home, I'm still struggling with, & if my plate wasn't
already filled, a MIL that is here home, and I'm to help her get back
on her feet, when I can barely deal with what I've got already. I have
no time 4 PT stuff, and when I do have time, I'm way tooo wiped out to
do anything with that kinda stuff. The most of a workout my body can
bear to handle {and not even then too well} is cleaning, cooking ,
going through a lot of our junk, tossing some stuff, putting things in
our attic, and that kind of thing. I hurt sooo bad it hurts some days
to even walk, that I have to wheel around in a chair. sigh. This pain
sucks.
Hope you ar fairing well, sorry 4 whining
Becky
How's your insurance coverage?
I've got a few different people I could recommend, two Physical
Therapists
who are EXCELLENT diagnosticians and can send you to an appropriate
specialist to have an official confirmation of diagnosis, one who is a
D.O
(doctor of Osteopathy) who is FABULOUS!!! and a Neuro who specializes
in
spine work who found a vertebral fracture in a friend of mine that a
year's worth of other specialists had missed.
Want some names?
and how about a *hug*
