MRI fine, nothing seen there.
So that must mean the brain is gone too. Probably is.
Thryoid ultrasound sending me back to the endo the same endo that has done
nothing to help me.
So there we have it. Once again nothing done. What a waste of time and
energy. They are never going to do anything so why don't I get that in my
thick skull.

Squirrely, that endo should start treating you for an underactive
thyroid even if the blood counts are negative. With the nodules and
the goiter, along with how you're feeling should be enough. He might
want to run some more extensive thyroid tests though. But I would
think starting you on synthroid and then monitoring how you're feeling
would be the right thing to do.
Hang in there!! I'm thinking of you!

Tell your PCP that you've been to that endo & he is a jerk. Then
tell her you want to see a different endo or have her treat you.
No getting depressed.

Don't be so discouraged, sweetie. Sometimes the idiots surprise you when you
least expect it. And if you get more of the run around, get angry and
assertive. Insist on a referral for a second opinion.
Assertiveness training session to follow:
We had this great pediatrician for a while (before he moved away). He did a
lecture for our parents group about how to get the most out of your
relationship with your pediatrician. Being a blunt person, he said something
to the effect of, "If you aren't taking your child's condition seriously
enough to come into the office, then I figure it really isn't something to
really get riled up about. How much your doctor cares will depend on how
forthright and how much effort you put into getting your child care."
Taking that to our care, if you don't make your health and treatment a
priority, why should they? And to show it's a priority, sometimes you need
to be a proactive consumer. When my local RD blew me off, I called my uncle
(a pedi RD) to find a recommendation. When that referral was great at
diagnosing but not treating, I bitched here and got a great referral from
Duckie. When the ovarian thing happened and my PCP sent me to the clueless
OB with the huge ego, I got an appointment for a second opinion even before
he called and told me of the problematic test results. When you KNOW
something is wrong, you can't take no for an answer. So take a deep breath.
Say, "I deserve good and accurate treatment." Repeat that as much as you
need. And come here for hugs, pats on the back, etc.

Thank you all for your responses. I appreciate you all being there for me.
It means alot to me more than you will ever know.
Adelle, I won't be discouraged. I get that way the day they hit me then the
next day or the day after that I am ok again and the fighting spirit comes
back in.
I know they surprise you when least expected. ;-)
I will see what the endo says on 2/2 then go from there. I will get a second
opinion if I feel she is not going to jump on this.
Thank you for the assertiveness training session. ;-)
I will give this endo one more chance Dad, then if she does nothing about
the thyroid too, it is good bye charlie. Hello new person. My pcp doesn't
know how to go about dealing with the thyroid and pituatary stuff. At least
she was honest about that. ;-)
Nann,
there is only this endo in this area. The one I saw two years ago and before
that was in Sacramento. He is the one that sent me to this one. I think I
was fired. ;-)
Thank you for the info Carol I will see what she is going to do and if not
what I want will try to get another one.
Thank you again all for your help. I do so appreicate it and just because I
didn't name you does not mean you are as important to me as those I
mentioned. You are, just can't answer each one right now.

any chance they can send you to another endo? try asking. if not, well,
maybe he'll pay more attention now that they know you have a messed up
thyroid. either way, tell your PCP you need to see someone who will actually
treat you with all this mess going on.
sorry to hear your brain is MIA ;)

NO NO NO...get yourself to another Endo. Some docs are a bad fit for
some patients. There is someone out there willing to work with you.
When I had to see my hand specialist. I had him sit down and asked
for 1 minute of his time. I said other docs had blown me off just by
looking at my hands and saying they looked fine (no x-rays..no
touching..nothing). I told him I wanted them treated. He listened.
It took 3 docs....and he was the one that listened.
Keep trying...you are worth it!!!!

Dagnabbit! That's gotta be so frustrating. Sooner or later, they will
figure it all out. Hang in there, and don't give up.

It's not your head that's thick. Tell the PCP that you want a referral to a
different endo.

Maybe you find another doc. Sometimes you just have to treat on the
symptoms.
