In Oregon we are dry, we had rain this weekend but we are quite a bit
behind for the water year. Southern Oregon is doing a little better.
Stop hogging it all and send it north where it belongs! You folks
from CA are all wet! In western Oregon everyone has been complaining
about the cold, it got down to 26 degrees or so a couple nights ago
(wimps).

We call it liquid sunshine.

Send them to Bodie State Park on U.S. 395 where it
dropped to -7 last week.
Or -15 in areas along the Canadian border. (But no report
from Hell, MICH. yet.)

same here, but that's normal for January. The couple of thaws we've had
lately made such a mess of things around here.
The reports of all the damage from the rains in California have been awful.
I just hope that snowpack builiding in the mountains does a lot to replenish
all the lakes and reservoirs. It'd be horrible to have all this damage from
the storms and not get any drought relief out of it!

LOL. Weenies.
Tonight, with wind chill, is expected to hit -40. Without counting the
wind, it will be -27C (-17F). Nice thing about the more frigid
temperatures is that you'll seldom see snow with them :-)

Well there has to be a silver lining! LOL
Even we are having cold temps. (-25)
It is not a pretty thing,
Kids have been staying in all day for a few days now, and are
therefore very antsy.
It is slippery as all get out too so it is hard to get around
anywhere.
Had my rem infusion on Thursday, and could not start my car. My friend
at work drove me to the hospital, and then some of my colleagues gave
my car a boost and brought it to me. That evening it warmed up and we
had several cms of snow. Like maybe 10 to 15 cms in a short time
period- the time it took to do my IV. (Mind you they had to poke me 7
times to get a good vein- they kept blowing the vein. Three different
nurses tried, and then finally did what I suggested all along- use my
foot).

Wow! You're supposed to be living in the banana belt of Western Canada. I
remember visiting my parents several years ago, and they were panicking when
it was -12. I hope it doesn't last long. We get some nasty temps and road
conditions, but we don't have to deal with the Coquihalla. I feel for you,
and hope it gets better soon.
Glad you finally got your infusion, though. Maybe one of these days they'll
learn to listen to the one who knows her veins best. Now if someone would
only invent cars that didn't need to be plugged in or warmed up :-).
Hmmm.... hospitals with heated parkades?

geez, and here I've just been complaining that it needs to stay *cold*
becuase we've had such a mess with thaws this January! Luckily, this week's
thaw seems to have been diverted. I'm gonna have to think about cooking
those turkeys in the garage if we get another thaw though.

Tell you what... I'll see if I can convince 10 or 15 degrees to migrate
south for you. Then we'd both be more comfortable!
