Hi!
Has it been quieter than usual around here?
Comcast messed up the newsserver and wouldn't admit it. I haven't been able
to get NG through them for the better part of a week. Have it back now, but
there have been fewer posts than usual showing both here and on google.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe it's just the "New Year" blahs.
Well, that or avoidance of the "special people" who've been posting (I
think you know who I mean). Seem to be plenty of the "skippable" posts
anyway.

AOL's newsgroups are all screwed up...you get a couple of today's, a
few from yesterday, and three or four from last week.
I've been checking on google but I don't really like posting over here.
Hopefully all the newsgroups problems will go away soon and everyone
can get back to posting regularly.

Kimmy:
Even Google seems to be having some problems. Can't seem to get it to
stay "on". What I'm trying to say is, after checking the groups,
normally, it shows that I've "read" all the messages, now it isn't
doing that, so I don't get the "new" messages highlighted, it shows ALL
the messages as new. I remember quite a bit of what I've read, but not
all of it. Oh well, this too shall pass.
Smokie Darling (Annie)<<if this is the least of my problems today (or
this week), then I am truly blessed.

for me it's just plain fatigue and having too much to do. I'm still trying
to catch up on last October!

Who is the news server for Prodigy/SBC? Is it farmed out as most ISPs
are?

LOL - I'm with ya there, but my kids really, really love AOL and all
it's bells and whistles. Someday, it'll just be me & netzero (or
something else inexpensive...)

I counted 76 for the 9th, there were more than that but my filters ate
them. According to Google in December we posted 4,300 + the highest
posting month of the year (138 per day). In January we have posted
1200+ so that's about 120 per day a less but not huge. Maybe it seems
like much less because December was so active. In 04 we did from 2700
to 4300 posts per month. If we continue to average 120 per day we
will wind up around 3600 or 3700. Perhaps it is your filters, my
filters are munching quite a few I didn't realize it until I looked at
the stats. Geez what a geek I have way too much time on my hands! --
