hey all,

hope 2005 is healthier for all of us!

i was diagnosed with OA in my knees in 1998, at the age of almost 33, about
10 years earlier than the orthopedist, who did arthroscopic on both, told me
i would...i did the synovisc shots until one leg had a horrendous allergic
reaction and had to have it and almost three shots of fluid removed...

then, just as 2004 was about to end, i got diagnosed with OA in both my
lower back and my hips! I am now with a bottle of darvocet, flexeril and
indocin adorning my nighttable...most nights, i need all three...anyone got
any better ideas of what to take that won't make me a zombie the next
morning?

Hi Froggy!

Welcome to our humble group.  Your group dues must me paid in
chocolate directly give to me (I'm the CTO...chocolate treasure
officer)

I switched to Ultracet for pain meds and I havent had any druginess,
loopiness, or woozy feelings.  Tell your doc how you feel and if
something different may work better for ya!

Thanks for the welcome!  I really hope to find something new...I took
Celebrex and went off it months before the first warnings were out...then I
took Vioxx and had the chest pains before they were fashionable...

wish i could pay you in chocolate...where do you live? if you live nearby,
if we ever meet, i will give you chocolate...

well if you ever go east, and somehow then get onto interstate 95, head
north, you will then find me...the weather here is not helping my
pains...think it is a good night for the darvocet and flexeril...

thanks again for the welcome!

How far up off of 95?  We've got some Boston area folks on the group here.  I
was one of them until I decided I wasn't getting enough winter and moved to
northeastern Michigan instead!  (yeah, right  HA!  I keep trying to convince
myself of that, though as a native Floridian I'm struggling to "embrace the
winter"!)

Oh, and with my PA and fibro, I take tramadol (ultram) with acetaminophen,
Zanaflex, and Bextra.  The Ultram/acetaminophen combo (also sold together as
Ultracet) and Zanaflex have made a world of difference for me in being able
to sleep.

If you were there when it happened, why did
NY remove "Empire State" from license plates?

Anyone from Hawaii?   Why did they remove
the king from license plates?  <g>
