I am in quite a pickle as to what to do.  XMAS Eve I had a uterine hemmorage
brought on by Arthrotec.  I did well until Monday on just my pred so I
called my RD to tell her what happened.  Of course, whenever something
really weird happens she is on vacation and this time was no different.  I
called at 815AM and explained about the reactions, the amount of blood lost
and the fact that I am swelling majorly.  I get a call from the covering doc
at 525PM telling me just to take some Arthritis Strength Tylenol and see how
it goes for a few days.  He was really reluctant to put me on a
prescription, even after knowing that I have failed most of the strong meds
like Remicade, Kineret etc.

So this morning I wake up and my feet look sunburnt and one toe actually
looks like a peeled tomato.  I had to get my husband to come home on break
so he could carry me to the bathroom.  When I could I called the doctor's
office but I got a feeling he won't call until late and I am in a bad way
now.  I am wondering if I should just go to the ER and get either pumped
full of painkillers and/or cortisone.  The swelling has even gone into my
chest bones...haven't had that happen in a long time :/

Shandi...

My advice get thee to the emergency room.  I mean, that's what I would
do (being the worry wart that I am).  At worst, there is nothing wrong,
and they'll send you home, and you'll feel foolish.

Shandi - You shouldn't be agonizing over this.  Go to the ER NOW.  It's
very, very, very important!!!

I agree with all - ER now!  And seeing as it's been some hours now since you
posted, I hope that you have already gone.
