I have been hearing about the blizzard in the maritimes and wondered
if you were affected, and how you were doing through it all.

Was an intense 30 hours 40cms of snow an 100km/hr winds.  Woke up this am to
a sunny day but cold.  The street in front of my house is a main thorough
fare and was ploughed well, the rest of the streets were one lane.   We were
ploughed by 11:00am and on the move.
The snow removal crews are out now widening some streets and clearing snow
into the harbour.

Wow! I hate winter blizzards. I am glad to hear you "weathered" the
storm.  Did you lose power as well?

Glad to hear you got through it so well.  The newscasts made it sound like
there was no end in sight.  Hope it stays clear, and warms up.

It's overcast and +2 today, the streets are great and most of the snow in
the business district is removed.  Luckily we did not lose power however,
about 4500 people on Cape Breton Island did.
One down, hoping no more to go until Spring...yeah I know, but It's a nice
illusion.

Bruce,

Read your post about how much snow you got.

Then I lost the post. ;-)

That was alot of snow and winds to get. Boy I feel for you.

Glad your street keeps getting ploughed well.

Hope you don't get too much more snow.

Stay warm. Drink some hot choc. for me ok. ;-)

I was thinking of Dan when I spotted a photo in Saturday's
paper of a snow plow working the highway in the Reno area.
