here you go, diane---
Diane,

I have the same problem as your boyfriend does.  I have one ear
especially that is chronically plugged up and gets infected.  I have a
great deal of scarring in that ear from so many infections.  I also have
pretty bad sinus stuff which only adds to the ear problems.   My best
solution has been to go the ear tube route. I have had ear tubes placed
probably 5 times now, and each time it does the trick and keeps me from
infections usually for several years.   When the infections start
happening on a somewhat regular basis again, then I know it is time for
new tubes to be placed.   I just had a set of tubes put in this past
summer, and am doing great.  The ENT doc told me with my ears the way
they are, I would probably always have the need for the ear tubes as I
get so much fluid build up in my ears and then the infections.   The
nice thing about the tubes, is that it is a relatively easy procedure
that takes only about 20 minutes to get done and then you go home and
can pretty much instanly hear better and such.   Good luck to your
boyfriend, sure hope he can find a workable solution to his problems!!!

Hi Diane,

It was me who posted to you about your boyfriends problems with his ears
and telling you that I have similar problems and have had ear tubes
placed multiple times over the last several years!   Just had a set
placed this past july.   What would you like to know?   Feel free to
email me privately or to post here, and I will do my best to help you
out with what ever you need to know!

Hugs!

Donna G
