I am posting this because I am very very frustrated and scared of loosing my
NSAID. I can not take may meds and the one that has worked the best has been
Celebrex. I do feel like I was given the hope of Celebrex and that it might
be yanked away from me. When I do not have my Celebrex I swell and hurt
badly. I am sure everyone here knows what I am talking about. I have
recently been taken off of Remicade due to my insurance no longer covering
it. Yes, I am a little crabby because of I am in awful pain in my lower
spine and hip. I love everyone here and wish them the best and I do not want
to offend or hurt anyone's feelings. If I have I am truly sorry and please
accept my deepest apologies. To know my true nature is to know that I Am a
very positive person and I love people and I have no enemies, nor do I
dislike anyone. I detest fighting and arguing. So Merry Christmas and accept
my box of Chocolates as a peace offering?

As far as I can tell, they will not be yanking celebrex, just posting
warnings about the potential risk. Sorry that remicade has been pulled
for you. Are you on another DMARD? Replacing a DMARD like remicade
with an NSAID is not enough. Have you discussed other options with
your Rd?
I am sorry to hear that you are in such pain.

I was taking both at the same time. I am working on getting new health
insurance. I have a neighbor who is in the insurance sales business and he
is looking for a good plan for me. Maybe I will be better in no time :o)
I found a article in our local news that was talking about that they might
be pulling it soon. I am not sure if that is hype or fact. It really worries
me though. My pharmacist said that from what she has heard that they might
be just altering the label to say that people with increased risk of heart
disease should not take it. I hope that that is the case so that us who are
not having problems can continue to take it.

breathe-in, breathe-out, slowly. now, repeat that. you have not offended
anybody that i know of. certainly, not me. no peace offering is required.
no apologies are required. pain and/or fear causes us to feel feelings we
might not ordinarily feel; say things we might not ordinarily say; and it
causes us to perceive things, in ways we wouldn't ordinarily perceive them.
that goes for most people and for the rest of our asa family, too, including
me. it's ok. we know this, here in asa. you are valued, rhonda. you are
wanted here. you're ok. ok?<smile>

Hi Rhonda,
I hope you get pain relief soon. Pain changes us all. I become this
"mean little Chihuahua" as my family puts it. I sit on my recliner
and nip as folks walk by me.
In the meanwhile, maybe a hot soak in the tub....a heat blanket or
heating pad might help?
You are SO in my thoughts.....let everyone around you know you are not
feeling well....take 10 seconds before saying most things (so they are
not said out of pain/anger)...and feel free to say NO to request on
your time and energy.
HUGS!!!!!!!

Ummm, Rhonda, you haven't offended me in any way. Does that mean I
don't get any chocolates? ;)
I know how the pain can get to you, though. Sometimes it just wears me
down to the point that I have no energy for anything, and get cranky &
testy, and it comes through the keyboard whether I like it or not. At
least my newsgroup friends don't have to live with me in that state! LOL
Wish none of us hurt...

Denise
